@@klop4228 He converses entirely in 'HYA's, 'HII's and stoic eye blinks (at least in this timeline, Young and Toon Link have their own languages). It's actually a very deep and complex dialect that has words and concepts that don't translate well, if at all, into English. If only we all could be so cultured.

But I guess the healers/save points have a different dialog on eastern side of the map, because it's the same for the town north of there.

I’m choosing to believe they’re connected though. A 3 wizard cult formed to spite that specific woman who kept bothering them for water so they made that whole dungeon to halt it and force the town to banish the lazy woman. Well, Jerd, be prepared to have your wallet really charged when you find the second half of the map. It's 5000 P. Of course you're right that there's more to that guy later on. The reason it gives you a shortcut warp is to easily get back to him. I don't know if it's actually possible to get that slime by bouncing and using fire, but there's a much, much simpler option with something you don't have yet. As to one thing you've forgotten... LET'S PLAY MONEY MAKING GAME!

The chicken spell feels like a huge trade off from the fairy spell. You can't fly wherever you want, you take damage, and can't bypass locked doors. I wonder though. If you as a chicken, get hurt multiple times, or down to your last remaining health, could it summon other "cuckoos" to flood the enemy and become a total kill for your benefit?

If anything I found that its borderline OP compared to the original. It makes a lot of platforming significantly easier and the hit box is I'd so small that it makes a ton of combat much easier. also, suffice it to say as it is currently in Jared's playthrough it has not reached its ultimate potential. There is much more to it.

Watching you play this game with such enthusiasm is truly therapy for me. The music is bringing me back to my teenage years when I spent endless hours playing on my first Nintendo console. I've been playing Path-of-Exile for the most part of the last 11 years and the music and sounds in it are simply dreadful. So I've been playing without any sound and supplemented those with some music , but that isn't quite as immersive. Keep up the spirits 🙂

He seems to be rather blind when it comes to certain things. When he fell down the well and first went to the bottom right, it was pretty obvious that he could also go left beyond the waterfall and he just completely ignored iit and tried climbing up, even after falling down a few times he still didn't notice it. It also amazes me he's so good at fighting enemies when he sucks so much at basic platforming. Fighting them in Zelda 2 requires a lot of precision, yet he can't manage to jump from the very edge of a platform. Well, at least he makes up for it by actually being good at many things. Can't quite say the same for many others when they play something they haven't already played a million times.

Those flying enemies in the graveyard are very annoying if you don't pay attention to how they move... their movement is influenced by your horizontal movement. They follow you horizontally at a slower speed to you while maintaining their movement pattern. It's best to tackle them by moving in to their range, stand still and letting them come to you.

I'm near the end (Have gotten to the Great Palace) and I am still missing 1 of the 12 Slimes and there is a new place I can't get into and have almost all items in the game. When other people reach that point, please reach out. I have an FAQ that I have been working on (not spoiler free) but there are a LOT of new items in the game.

The area south of the Great Palace with all the walkable water leads to the Dragmire but you can only access that in NG+. The 12 slimes are: 1) at North Castle (jump puzzle) 2) in Parapa palace, 3) ruins north of Ruto, 4) under the bridge south of Saria, 5) first room of the Hammer cave, 6) in the Island palace, 7) at the tip of one of the raft islands (in the video, requires Thunder spell to kill), 8) north of Nabooru (dark forest patch, get attacked there), 9) in Darunia, 10) on Maze Island (visible Ra head statue in the ground, requires "Fairy"), 11) graveyard patch NW of Old Kasuto (western patch just before entering Death Valley, requires Book of Mudora), 12) in 3-Eye Rock palace (hallway with falling blocks, jump up top and exit the right side of the room while on top of the wall to enter a hidden area, it's a block puzzle requiring you to cut blocks on the right to match the formation on the left).

@@pigs18 True, though some would argue the graphics would have to be made from the ground up to be a true remake. But yeah, to me a remaster is just a graphical update with little to no additional content. Super Mario RPG Switch would be that. Z2 is more like what an honest good faith remake would be as opposed to Final Fantasy VII Remake which felt more like reboot of sorts. And if they ever do fully do allow a graphic swap for a more 16 bit feel, even better.

@@amerk6601 Believe it or not, only the graphical assets are from the original game. Hoverbat made this from the ground up in GameMaker Studio. They edited some frames of animation. (Link's shied for example is tilted to add dimension) and recreated the combat system. There are also some frames of animation that don't exist in the original game along with a lot of original sprites that are seamlessly blended in.

Come on Jared; why would you immediately try and go back up in that secret dungeon when there are clearly possible paths to the left and right *that won't consume magic in exploring*? Do the 'free' areas first. Then start spending your magic, just in case there's nothing up top except an exit (which would make sense, seeing as that's the way you came in).
