am a learner, and doing the cup and stem separately is a Great idea, even for doing goblets too! this also means we are not faced with too much technique at once, and gives us a break opportunity in between the parts if the cup needs more work to understand the process, especially if so far all we have done is spindles, and also if we need practice making the spigot for the chuck to grip onto, ESP. if we have NOT used a SKEW before, or our tutors are too afraid to show it to us :-)

Great pace, you kept things moving, no extra BS. Just the sort of thing I like to watch. (But- CA glue? Come on- use the good stuff.)

Hi you do some excellent marvellous fantastic work but I'm afraid that you obviously don't appreciate your health you're turning a piece of ebony by looks of it and you should be wearing a mask at least or even a respirator especially as you're showing it as a training showing people how to create and make beautiful articles which you do but you must stipulate health and safety I'm 68 years old retired cabinet maker carpenter and for the last 30 years I've worn a head shield air fed mask 😷 and a defenders . Anyway you do do excellent work you're obviously a very skilled craftsmen wood Turner . Stay safe especially in this time as we are in lockdown because of the virus I'm in France and cannot go out apart for an hour to go and get food luckily I have got a reasonable amount of land and I can go for a walk when I want to. If the bowl and handle are to be sanded and polished, wouldn't it have been better to do the bowl first and then the stem, to avoid contaminating the bowl with the dark dust from the stem? It looks very good otherwise - Mr Cook makes this and the other projects look so easy, quite inspiring in fact!
