Fantastic video. It's awesome to see your natural excitement for the project at hand and just general knowledge in modification choices. Keep it up. Very jealous of the beautiful garage and clean cars

I have a Suzuka Blue AP1. Bone stock except for Volk CE28 wheels and Stop Tech pads and rotors. I want to build my S2000 like this.

The new Advans are really looking good. This is also the first time I noticed just how shiny red your NA Miata is (mine badly needs a paint job) and that you apparently have the silver carbon Zoom side view mirrors. Very nice touch. Keep up the good work. Your enthusiasm is infectious.

Thanks Kyle. Eh my NA needs paint. The camera just makes it look a lot juicier than it really is ;)

Your channel is HIGHLY underrated. Been trying to find wheels for my AP1 and can't find the right fitment TE37 so your Advan setup looks ideal. I know it's been a while, but does it rub? Did you end up having to roll your fenders? I'm trying to avoid doing so if at all possible. Thanks again for the great content!

I want an S2000 so bad, one of the best looking Japanese cars ever made in my opinion! Bought a Miata, and love the thing, but its really just the cheapest way to quench my front engine RWD thirst, S2000 is next on the list!
@TexMexThe3rd8 жыл бұрын
Same... But I already gave up of buying a S2000... Way too expensive here in Portugal...

I hear ya! I built my 99 Miata the way I did because of my love and at the time lust for the S2000 ;)

The motor in your 99 is almost exactly what I want to put in my 91! You really do have impeccable taste in cars!

A video going over AP1 vs AP2 differences would be great. As well as what to look for, both good and bad.

There was an AP1 that was around from back in the day and it was a silverstone Ap1 with Mugen top, Amuse R1 front and silver RG2's. The car was sold and parted out a long long time ago, but it always has and is still my S2K muse.

Nice work but I'd ditch the cusco catch can. I just threw mine away. They do nothing but look pretty and throw oil right back in the motor. I switched to a baffled mishimoto and it works amazing.

Thanks David, I actually modified this one so it cannot recirculate like that.

Very nice, I have a AP2 myself, and have some work wheels on the way. Are you running stock wheel size? Should consider 255 squared stance, the handling of that vs stock just feels so much better.
@TheSlipAngle8 жыл бұрын
The fronts are wider than stock and the rears are the same with but lower offset. I think 255 is more tire than I need for the power the car is making. Plus it's a slightly taller sidewall than the 245/40/17 and AP1 gearing is already a little long. These are just going to be my street wheel/tire setup anyways. Haven't settled on what I want to run for a track setup yet.

I just bought new Bridgestone S-04 tires. My rears are the same size you're using in this video, but my fronts are the stock size 215/45-17. Can I fit this narrower tire on the 17x7.5 +45 Advan wheel?

Wow car looks amazing with those wheels! I think I may have just found my new set up, been looking to change out the stock wheels for awhile! I'm currently on stock height, do you think there would be any need to roll fenders or do something with the body work? Thank you in advance! +Garage Quinn Motors @Garage Quinn Motors

I have an 02 sebring silver with low miles. I do not want to roll or pull fenders. Now that you have these RG2s on your car - any need to roll? I do like the look of these wheels. Also, are you happy with the Continentals?
@TheSlipAngle7 жыл бұрын
With -2.5' F and -2' R, I do not have any rubbing issues whatsoever without rolled folders, which was really a nice thing. I am pretty sure that Advan made these widths and offset for the S2000 specifically. Also, just an FYI these are RG2s, not RV2s.
@robgerety7 жыл бұрын
You are running a lot more camber than I do. After watching a few of your videos I understand why. But, my car will remain stock suspension - stock in almost every way. So, for guys running oem spec alignment, will these wheels work? BTW - I spent some time watching a number of your videos and do want to complement you. You do a great job. There was a day in my life when I was moving in the direction with cars that you have gone. I rebuilt a few engines, did one engine swap. But, things went in a different direction and now I am content enjoying my essentially stock s2k. Still, I really enjoy following your projects.
@jwrx7tt017 жыл бұрын
Robert Gerety I’m on stock alignment and the wheel I found which fits perfectly is the Prodrive GC-07J ASM edition. It has very specific specs just for the S2000 which works with all different kinds of settings
