Your home is so clean and organized. There are people living in mini mansions who don't keep their homes as nicely as you do. Your attitude is everything. I really enjoyed your tour. It opened my mind to seeing how attitude makes a world of difference. I know a family living in a very similar style and size townhouse, and all they do is complain about wanting more and trashing the place. It truly is all about HOW you live. ❤

I agree with this statement. Her home is nice, clean and organized. But there are areas of “the projects” in some cities where there may be a lot of gun violence and gang activity. Where your children can’t even go outside for fear that they might get shot by a stray bullet. It then becomes a matter of “where you live”.

I lived in the projects...back in the 70's, and I remember how clean all the homes were. It was a mark of pride that you kept everything neat and tidy. We had a neighbour, Miss Robins, who gave all the children home baked goodies if we were respectful and in return we ran to the shop for her when she needed something. There was a real sense of community in our neighbourhood.

Re: your video on Sloopy Joe burgers with broccoli and fries....I just called my niece and asked if she would enjoy that next time she comes to visit and she said she'd love to have it.

I stumbled across your video in my feed and I’m blown away by your BEAUTIFUL apartment! It’s perfect. Clean, comfortable, spacious, and I can tell it’s full of your love and care for your family! RIGHT ON about not letting your kids have a TV in their bedroom. Your son has toys, books, and a family that loves him - he’ll look back on his childhood with gratitude for you giving him stability and safety instead of 24-7 TV access. One last thing - EVERYONE deserves safe and comfortable housing that they can make into a home. There is no good reason why low income people should be forced to live in substandard housing (or none at all). You deserve to have the things that make your life work for you - I’m thrilled that you have your own washer/dryer, good working fridge and stove, and a dishwasher and also YOUR OWN BATHROOM! You’re a single hardworking mom and you NEED your space and the things that free you up enough to be independent. Not having to worry about where to wash your clothes is a godsend. Your apartment is honest to goodness nicer than a lot of apartments that people pay 5,000 a month for because it’s clean and organized! Thanks for the tour of your beautiful home. Even if it were your forever home, it’s a place to be proud of.

@michby I'm sorry but I disagree! I know someone that doesn't deserve housing of any kind and that's my niece. She's a schizophrenic/bipolar but that's not her problem. Her problem is that she is insufferable! If things don't go her way she pitches a fit and is very abusive. Both physically and verbally. She has admitted that she knows what she's doing. Did I mention that she's very lazy and dirty? She will smear feces on a shared bathroom and not clean it, for example. Do you think that anyone should have to live with her or put up with her? I took care of her for 15 months and am now severely disabled because of the stress. You sound like a very nice person and I truly hope that you have a wonderful life free of people like my niece.
@michbyАй бұрын
@gigiw.7650 I’m so sorry to hear that your family is struggling with serious mental illness. I have a family member who is also struggling with some similar problems although he does not react the same way as your niece. Instead when he is angry he destroys things by throwing them and he also yells and screams at people. It’s very hard to deal with. What our loved ones need the most is high quality mental health care. It sounds like your niece needs to be hospitalized for her own and everyone else’s safety. Again, I’m so sorry to hear of her suffering and yours as well.

It will harm them. I have feed them for years. The first year you might not have a lot of birds. Do not be disappointed. Each year the number increases. Also never place feeders close to each other, they are a bit territorial. I have a feeder in back & front yard so they cannot see each other LOL. Their battles will amuse you for hours. if are like me. Also, they might not seem to be coming for a while because the scouts for finding food come first. Also, when flowers are in full bloom, they eat the nectar a lot. The proper time is about right after Easter. Or when the nights do not go lower than about 50. They leave in late fall depending on night temp. Or after the first hard frost. TO CLEAN THE FEEDER & CARE FOR FEEDER. Your home is spotless. I grew up poor and my mom always said "it's not about what you have, it's how you take care of it." And there wasn't a home in our county cleaner than my mzma's. She always told me she would rather have what someone owes instead of what then own. I took that lesson to heart and I still don't have a credit card even as an adult. You are the young version of my mama and you are fantastic . Sending you all of the love ❤ your house is gorgeous.

Your home is lovely! I am a 60 year old white woman in Texas, I admire you so much. I grew up in a trailer full of roaches, and now no bugs, 2 story house that we don’t need and a pool in the backyard. My house is no more a home than yours is. Unless you block me I am going to follow you for the strong woman and mother you are. Praying for blessings for you and your family.❤

A fridge is a fridge you are absolutely right! I am sick of people thinking brand new everything matters, I have the same in my place 240 sq ft, no dishwasher and 2k a month where I live :( What is important is everything works, you are caring and loving your babies and you are an amazing mom. Thank you for being here, ( I have no dishwasher either... or washer and dryer either! I have to pay 10.00 per load for my wash and drying ... sigh...

If you give me 1 million dollars, I will always still choose my tiny home. We have 3 beds/2 baths, but I don't mind living in an efficiency or trailer. I've lived in all kinds of homes and am never more cozier than when in smaller places and filled with browns, carpeting, and wood paneling 😊 LOVE it!

My place of peace is bigger and not in the projects and your attitude about life and making the best out of what u have is 1000x better than mine. I live alone but for some reason always felt like I needed more space for satisfaction but idk why I think this way plus it’s hard keeping all the rooms spotless. Thanks for sharing Meek! I’m in year 8 at my house and still haven’t fully furnished/decorated the rooms. I’m getting better at decorating though cuz it’s like u said, u feel better in your space when u decorate to make the space feel more homey/cozy. It def makes a difference.

I worked really hard and when my girls were little we lived in a one bedroom one bath trailer, it was 400 square feet. By the time my daughters were preteen and a teenager I had earned my masters degree and was able to buy a 3 bedroom 2 bath house. I know people in wealthy suburbs that pay 3k+ for tiny and poorly kept STUDIO apartments, and here is an apartment in the projects that is nicer than any of them. What a home is worth is different for everybody. Some people sacrifice everything for location. Some people sacrifice everything for square footage. Some people don’t have much choice. The important things are these: Do you have what you need? Is your home safe? Do you find refuge in it? Is there love in it? Are you making happy memories there? Can you feel at peace there? Having a home is like having a relationship. It needs to provide safety and security, and we need to invest care and time into it. This is a great example of a home that the family takes pride in and cares for well, and it shows. It is very lucky to grow up in a home that is so cozy and calm and warm.

That’s “the projects”? Better starting palette than I’d imagined. Beyond that you’ve done an excellent job of decorating and organizing and you keep it so nice and clean. I think this channel has great potential. Keep sharing your home, cleaning, shopping, etc… busting the myths about income based everything. Showing reality because I’m sure not all people have as nice a place, and if they do, I’m sure many struggle with cleaning, working, taking care of kids and raising them right. You have much to share and you’ll be amazed how your audience grows. You could help others adjust the way they do things to live a best life just by example. No judgement. No preaching Everyone could use help and I can see this taking off. I’m a plus 1 today because I want to watch you take off. Personally I really like cleaning vids, before and after, organizing and I’m not the only one. This is the first video of yours that I’ve watched so I don’t know if you have some formal theme going yet but think you could ride this puppy. I really like your perspective. Good luck.
