4:42 Those are the cam gears that make up the AVCS (active valve control system) :D In this case, as he said, is a dual-AVCS engine. Not all Subaru engines have dual AVCS, some have single AVCS and some don't have AVCS at all.

Aren't both OEM bolts and ARP nuts 12pt not 16pt vs 6pt and 8pt? If they were 16pt a special socket would be required thereby making it more difficult to assemble?

Can you specify what bore size you want with these blocks? As I was looking for an option with a 97mm bore

Got a 13 WRX that is due for the timing belt job. This is a stock engine but I don't want to cut corners on this job. I have had the Gates kit recommended, but I have also seen some negative comments about it here on You Tube. Any recommendations you might make would be gratefully received.

Short block is just the engine block and long block is full assembly with heads. I'm not sure what your trying to ask.

As a factory certified Subaru technician, factory Subaru head bolts are absolutely reusable. They are not torque to yield like many people think they are. The reason Subaru uses angle location on the torque sequence is for more even clamping load.

OMO .SOUND well arp bolts /stud kits cost over 300 each kit i sent 600 plus on arp bolts because there for a fj20 special order from the states and for that price you would think they would be reusable. dnt people know anything

@MRTPerformanceAustralia
@MRTPerformanceAustralia 7 жыл бұрын
As this is a street car build. The customer opted to stick with a wet sump setup. While beneficial in some regards, a dry sump would be overkill in this instance and adds unnecessary complexity.
