I just received my oculus and the immersion is incredible. I was believing I was feeling the suns rays. Suddenly I am focusing properly on the apex curbs etc. Only problem was a deliberate high speed crash which forced me to retire to bed at 1am feeling sick. I was so convinced about the crash...truly awesome but my ear fluid wasn't impressed and fell out with my eyes. Not sure what to do.....there seems no way back. Even my 917/30 felt dangerous just to sit in (which is exactly how it should feel). Now I need to try your Dirt Rally stomach work out.

Loving the penalty system as pcars1 u would cut a corner v slightly and get a 5 sec penalty. Now you can roll off the throttle and carry on which is much fairer. And give back a place for an illegal overtake, like it! Can't wait til release

You missed your chance when you said the open format of the Radical gives you the sense of being in a real race car, to which you could've added "..and even more so when in VR..." ;) I don't have a VR set myself but don't mind either format for videos, I guess those looking for 2D footage just want to see how it'll look when they're playing it. And why oh why didn't SMS setup a way to update the press build?? World of Mass Development indeed...

I think those points are, on point. I prefer the look of the enzo to the laferrari. All those shapes bends and bumps are to meet modern safety requirements and so that a 1000hp car has been wind tunnel tested for stability so it can be driven hard by novices. We'll never see that long low frontal area again for that reason. Everythings blunt and rounded these days cars all look the same or similar.

@Pillokun7 жыл бұрын
GamerMuscleVideos I hope so but I doubt that. Pretty much all games today have some kind of Issues like this. Rain effects splashing at shiny parts inside the cockpit, smoke going through the car. Back tires missing in pc1 or see trough in pc2 while using VR headsets. I think those issues with effects will be there when the game goes retail. Best bug/issue is when in AC you park with one tire or side on a curb and the car starts freaking/spasming out, but that is not an effect bug :P

I actually like sci.fi supercars, like the Lamborghini Huracán. I also like cars with a more classic look, like the Porsche 911.
@L3v3LLIP7 жыл бұрын
Hypercars arent designed for looks. Permformance has priority and many parts are computer optimized. I'm fine with a weird loking hypercar, if it has 0.5% more grip or less air resistance. If you want beautifull and fast looking cars you have to choose a slower one :P
@GamerMuscleVideos7 жыл бұрын
A hyper car would get rinsed by a prototype on a race track and a rally car on a road all whilst looking like 14 yr olds first drawing of a super car. If hyper cars were really designed for performance the cockpit would also be empty :)

super cars today are designed by scientists in wind tunnels instead of artists with clay models. Both produce beautiful designs though. You just have to appreciate the function hidden in the form. Also I think seeing the new cars in person is very important. I was very unimpressed with the new McLaren 720s until I saw it in person. Now its one of the top 5 most beautiful cars Ive ever seen.
@GamerMuscleVideos7 жыл бұрын
You say that but then why do modern race cars actually made for racing and winning not have all the stupid squashed tennis ball curves on the outside ? Also the inside is 100% arbitrary older cars tended to keep the inside more to the point of the drive and less about having more buttons than a 747 and more bling than a hip hop rappers cupboard.
@DansanTutorials7 жыл бұрын
GamerMuscleVideos older cars would've had all the buttons aswell if the tech was there. Back then some stuff in the cars were quite modern for the time it's just today it's seen as simplistic. If you want a car today with driver focused things in them then you can get one, things like a GT2RS which doesn't even have proper door handles or a radio if you don't want them

I was very much impressed... the brake discs were insane! .. when they mounted back the tires and it was on the ground again it just looked so absolutely stunning. Never liked it on pics... but now I'm in love. Oh and the mechanics told me.. carbon fibre rear wing = 60.000€ .. so they better not break it when servicing the hydraulic wing system they said :-D

The problem with VR is they botched the first consumer versions. I can run 300fps in Assetto Corsa on a 1440p 144hz monitor for a 3.5ms frame time. VR? You're stuck with the framerate they give you, and what they do give you isn't even that good. VR will be good once they have 120hz 4K, anything less is unacceptable, especially when you're only using half of that resolution per-eye, really the current "VR" headsets run at sub-720p resolution.
@GamerMuscleVideos7 жыл бұрын
90Hz is not just about getting that basic frame rate but VR screens are also over driven and specialised so that not only do they refresh at 90 fps but they also clear the pixels quickly so that you don't get smearing and other effects that you would not notice to the same extent on a standard TFT. VR is already "good" its amazing and they did not "botch" the first HMD's what they achived with the current technology is amzing especaily if you factor in all the underlying work in tracking , graphics , drivers and everything involved to get modern VR. Maybe its not good enough for you right now but on the grand scheme of things its quite amazing and will only get better.
@TheHadrian547 жыл бұрын
Bud The Cyborg maybe it's unacceptable for pure performance but for comfort it's enough. The resolution really is a problem IMO, probably the only real problem with the Oculus for me. 90Hz is absolutely sufficient for a comfortable and realistic experience. And that's what VR is about, a comfortable, immersive experience. Right now the Rift and the Vive represent the norm, we already have some cheaper options out there, now we're waiting for the more high end options. Oculus rift CV2 should serve that purpose but we never know with Facebooculus
