Give PC3 a reshade and it'll look a hundred times better than Grid. PC3 needed to stick to its roots and embrace the modding community just like Assetto Corsa.

In my opinion PC3 could have been the best car game, but they ended up screwing it up because of the mediocre AI. Graphically speaking GL is superior, the lighting is brutal, and PC3 is better in physics and sound, it's a pity that it's an unfinished game. Sometimes I want to play it, but I always end disapointed and uninstalling it.

PC3 developer is Paul R.,the man that made Driveclub,so physics and sound are better in PC but graphycs are better in GL.Driveclub has the best of both

Grid Legends racing is more close/ bumper to bumper and chase view is better. There are 2 and the far one is angled up more to see road better.

It is now 2024. I have both games for PC. . Got them at sale prices on STEAM. I don't know about the graphics, both are acceptable to me. Not fussy about looks of vehicles. Main concern: The physics looks like Projects Cars 3 is more of a driving car, where GRID vehicle seems to drift in the corners - front wheels seem to be planted/stuck in corners too much. It is almost like you are using two different controllers. A wheel controller for PC3 and a XBOX controller for GRID ( at least the way the steering wheel moved in both games). In GRID the steering wheel looked to be jerky - move in spurts. Did you use the same controller to drive the cars in both games????? Car damage was interesting, but I don't care what happens when we crash. Main importance is how the car drives and handles around the tracks. And how fun is it to drive with the AI cars. Graphics and damage are the least of my worries. Last thing: Both games are fun and very entertaining. They are definitely not SIM racing games. They both let me do around 3 laps on the tracks with selected vehicles. Also under different weather/time of day conditions. I do these games when not doing serious SIM racing. Change of paste. Graphics: Stationery Graphics: Grid 1 : 0 PC3 (Grid details are unmatched in this comparison) In-Motion Graphics (Chase cam i.e. with car + environmental details in view): Grid 0 : 1 PC3 {observe in race trees formation on Grid like it's GTA 5, very low resolution environmental textures, only improved as they get a lot closer, at least if it were subtle changes it would be acceptable, rear windshield is made matt and not reflective when driving, same goes for the rear, they make it matt to reduce graphics demand, PC3 is better optimized in this regard} Physics: Grid (-1) : 1 PC3 {Grid cornering is terrible to be even compared with any PC game} Sound: Grid 1 : 1 PC3 Damage: Grid 1 : 1 PC3 {they are both not ideal but have nice damage features each} Overall Grid 2 : 4 PC3 PC3 - Simcade Grid - Arcade

PC3 physics is a lot closer to Sim racing than Grid, it might be late but were you using a controller or a wheel-pedal set? PC3 is more sensitive to the amount of throttle, steering, braking and downshifts during cornering etc., which is what sim racing games excels on, it's a lot easier to control all those inputs on a wheel-pedal set compared to controllers such that it's easier to over do some inputs and result in oversteer and spin out with a controller. Grid leans more on the arcade side and is way too forgiving to improper input amounts and weight transfers. I game with a wheel-pedal set and PC3 is so controllable with great physics.

Grid Legends is easily better in terms of graphics, but as we can see it in the video it is 100% arcade game, those drifts in the corners are totally unrealistic :) Project Cars 3 is closer to real life phyisics, but it is also far from realistic physics. In overall of course Grid Legends is better, it is new gen game.

NFS, Burnout are 100% arcade racers. You cant tune the cars and the speed in those games are insane also. Grid, Forza are simcade which means more forgiving than PC2, Assetto Corsa.

@@Flying-Fox19 Grid isn't simcade tbh. It's totally arcade I'd say. Forza Horizon is a lot more arcadey too. Forza Motorsport and Gran Turismo are simcade games.

Sorry but if you guys think project cars has the best audio your obviously not looking into how exactly a Porsche 911 gt3 sounds like. Here kzbin.info/www/bejne/oYKbo5yDadaBrac My vote is to grid because one: the game plays way smoother than pjc3 when your actually racing and not navigating the buggy menus🤣. Two: the audio sounds are more closer to reality with the real cars and weather effect sounds as well and it doesn't sound like each audio instance is hitting the wall when another audio cue comes. Three: you can make your own custom difficulty option mix like you can have abs on full but you can have traction control at 2 and stabilization on 3. this doesn't include the tuning sliders before you start a race.
