We need to have in mind that onboard cameras tend to over expose the exterior, creating a bigger contrast between darker and lightened areas. In the real life this effect is not so pronounced, because our eyes have way higher dynamic range than cameras. I believe that Project cars is being developed with that aspect in mind, and not the camera view in mind. Project cars is very well balanced, however i would give it a little bit more contrast on the trees and tweak the greens a little bit. Amazing game. The physics seem to be very good to.

Also in real life part, the camera like almost every camera in this situation (inside a open but small environment with daylight outside) make the sky look almost white, the sky in Project Cars look pretty realistic !

This is looking amazing, well done sir! If I may leave some tiny feedback, and apologies if you have plans to tweak this already, I noticed that the cg driver head bobs/vibrates at a higher frequency than the real life driver, and also looks a little pinned to the seat at the back of the helmet, like its been point constrained. The real life driver leans into corners more. Obviously you cant have the game driver obscuring the windscreen, but maybe loosen it up a touch more?

You could then add another layer in having the driver lean left and right that ties into the arm's steering wheel actions, again finding a sweet spot (could just be the head leaning from the neck pivot for this to work) Once you get the frequency of the body bounce vibrations nailed then that would look the bollocks Im sure of it :) Im an animator by trade so if you need a hand with this give me a shout!

Was thinking about this at lunch...maybe it could work if you rig up a chain starting at a point just below the lowest rib of the drivers chest would be, up to the base of the neck and then connecting to the base of the skull. Then run your animation vibration dynamics sim on this chain on a layer. which can then be tightened up until you find the sweet spot of realistic body momentum and a clear windscreen. Im sure it doesnt have to be a broad body movement to read.

Looks great, I too would like just a slightly deeper and more vibrant colour palette, perhaps a tad less brown in the green of the foliage. Just nitpicking though.

Nicholas Woods Yeah, Pcars seem to have a slight tendency of over-brightening things and lacking the vibrance. Only a slight problem, though. Amazing for a game! Definitely another leap in realism.

The real circuit is a lot bumpier. Especially in the Karussell curves, but also elsewhere.. It is this feature that makes the Ring such a difficult circuit. Often shock absorbers overheated in the old days...

It looks AMAZING but it does slightly lack the sensation of speed that is more noticable in the real video, it needs to have slightly better lighting too it looks a little dull. It still looks fantastic but its not quite there yet imo

Game on the right screen looks better, contrast is higher and they made better shadows. And for real, it looks amazing when I'm watching some HD screenshots I can't believe that it's just a game ;o

Project cars is basically a shift 2 revamped. Shift 2 had white skies like in irl, rl also has blue skies, but white skies makes video games seem more realistic.

Ryan White As much as I hate to say it I actually think it was SMS that ruined shift 2 not EA. Physics wise each game I've played that SMS has helped develop has been a floaty mess. Look at shift 1/2 and TDU Ferrari challenge. Plus to what I've heard from people who have actually played Pcars it doesn't sound much better.. Some even stated that GT6 felt more refined and realistic.

It would be perfect to have basic color balance of shadows, midtones and highlights, and brightness and contrast and saturation settings for the game...

For an Alpha build its awesome. I still don't like all that stability, like in 0:42 where the car goes to the grass and still keep the same grip. At least it is what's look like in the video, can't be sure unless trying it on a FFB wheel.

actually the game driver you're seeing is only from a replay I'm sure. He kept it to that view so that direct comparison can be made. That's just one of the replay views. The actual driving views are first person, first person in helmet, elevated 3rd person (to two levels?) and hood cam. There's no mid-car cam when you're driving, because the whole left side of your view would be obstructed. As for helping, maybe you should contact Slightly Mad Studios at World of Mass Development. WMD dot Com.

This video was from Feb 2013, and in Alpha. Two years of development is going to make this game the best of the best ... of the best. Assetto Corsa is a good game, I've played it for months, but it's no Project Cars ;)

error in project car interior when you buy the cup version of megane you have rs monitor , and thos option is not compatible with GPS , need make choise ( cup version or gps ) . in real life side ( no error of course lol)

Uh, not according to Slightly Mad Studios and World of Mass Development. Go to the portal for C.A.R.S and then try to argue it's PC only. Here's the trailer as well: /watch?v=ALAtlKgjkc0 Want to keep denying that it's multi-platform? Slated for every platform, including the PC. BTW, "slated" = "planned for". I didn't say that you can play it "now". The only thing that's PC only is pre-alpha and I'm sure the beta testing. Because that would be damn difficult to do with the other platforms.
