​@@rewriting-history could you make a timeline where its ww2 but the sides are switched, similsr to this but entente punished as harshly as the central powers were, think it would be cool! also, here are what countries in this timeline would be similar to our timeline France = Germany UK = Italy China = Japan Benelux = Czechoslovakia and Austria Germany and Italy = France USSR = UK so and so, also italy was on the central powers, same with uk but they are with france in ww2, and france prolly still loses (This could be called "Project: Vive la France")

It wouldn't be a stretch to think that the US might be pro German, either by their Presidents disposition or by the fact that they are either on par or nearly on par in size with Americans that have British ancestry, plus Germans are very concentrated in some states, making it possible that presidents have to cater to the German voters to secure a victory, the German American vote could be the swing vote between Republicans and Democrats, especially because a large chunk of the German migration happened between 1800 and 1900, making it not that far fetched that they still feel connected to their homeland as it has been 0-2 generations for them, even the youngest German Americans would have still grown up with German speaking grandparents and stories of Germany, even more so now where being German is a badge of pride not shame.

I believe that France won't surrender even if Paris was lost, as that point in the war, both sides were bogged down in trench warfare, so all France had to do is wait until the US comes and bails them out.

The Netherlands plan if invaded was to retreat and hold the very core near the coast so Germany could advance easily through the areas the needed but wouldn’t be able to take out the Netherlands without diverting significant forces away from the primary offensive which would defeat the whole point of invading the Netherlands too

1:10:10 *Its kinda dissapointing how you left out one of the biggest uprisings in 19th century African history* The dervish movement started by the somalis in northern somaliland against the British pretty much fought as its own state in ww1, had the ottomans won their support would've basically cut the British and italians of entirely from the horn of africa These countries were already forced to govern the coastal cities alone and a loss in ww1 would mean complete loss of the colony, the british had previously fought against the uprising for close to 2 decades already so they wouldn't want to continue their own version of Afghanistan in east africa The central powers would also clearly want to keep british forces away from their borders in middle africa so would support the creation of a pan-somali state against the wishes of ethiopia who had joined the defeated entente and lost its majority somali territories in the east I expect the dervish state to mostly be an anti-colonial state and mostly push for conservatism, industrialisation and partial isolationism mirroring the culture of the somali peoples I dont think the dervish will be heavily impacted by the collapse of the ottomans as they wouldn't really mind their arab neighbors next door but they would be against the persian and russian destruction actions against their ottoman allies I suspect them to stay mostly neutral though to keep their ties with germany strong in order to stave off british/ethiopian territorial ambitions and continued steady industrialisation After a couple years when ww2 breaks out they support the german to mostly kick the french out of djibouti

In OTL WW2 the Germans developed the first guided bomb in 1943, called the "Fritz X". It was mainly used against ships and it would be reliably accurate in a Radius of 26m when dropped from 4000 - 8000m. With the lack of a German Brain drain they could have made this bomb a lot more accurate and develop it earlier too. Especially since the Brits were the innovators regarding RADAR and other Electronic Research and the Germans and Brits cooperating in this war. Superheavy tanks don't work, remember the Maus? It could only cross large bridges, sink in open terrain and would get suck in city streets that are destroyed. The Germans only managed to pass the Adenns bc they had light tanks, france thought that move impossible bc they had heavy tanks.

I have a complaint to the series, which is a lack of exploration/explanation of German internal politics, since they went from Conservative to Social Democratic from 1916 to 1932... That's a major oversight/blind spot to the series overall! Other than that I have nothing to critique, but only interested questions as to specific countries, like Germany's relationship with Denmark and Britain? :) Great scenario!
