In Maryland, I'm literally doing the same early fall late summer heavy reseed with Jonathan green black beauty ultra. Just finished dethatching and hand raking ~12k sq ft. Then applying a thin top dressing to cover the seed. You said it best. That first mow after a fall reseed is awesome. Then hitting it with tenacity to prevent poa annua germination. May apply fungicice like propaconazole because of frequent watering and temps are still optimal for fungus development. Best of luck to your fall renovation.

I’m also in Maryland, do you think Jonathon green black beauty works well in our region? I have mostly shaded area with some parts of sun where I’m planning to overseed. Currently it’s mostly fine fescue but I hate how brown it gets in our hot, sometimes dry summers

If I were you I would put tenacity and Drivexlr8 down together they are both labeled to put down at seeding

Good luck with the project lawn this season! Wild thought, does it need to be cool season type? You have Bermuda in there already. Common Bermuda can look good cut at 3” or -1”. Just a thought. Would widen your horizons. Traffic tolerance good and I don’t see too much shade from videos but could be mistaken. If no shade in the area and church doesn’t mind dormant Bermuda in winter. I say TRY it! It’s your project, just a suggestion.

@@AntoineClaquin-cf2hd I think this time next year we look at warm season, unless it’s popping of course all year.

I use alot of Jonathan Green products .. a little pricey But overall I like them alot. My local ACE Hardware Store sells them cheaper than anywhere. Have always used their grass seed and have been pretty happy with it .

Have you considered trying a liquid de thatch to start decomposing all the dead areas? Also, we have a new playground at church and most of the foot traffic is near the door. I planted three types of Johnny Green, using Sunny, and two others for a shady dry area. Seems to be working fine. Don’t be so hard on yourself, without water in a very hot and sunny location it looks good. Yes, it needs some TLC!

I like Johnathan Green products but I definitely won't touch their grass seed. I've heard so many talk about poa triv after planting JG grass seed. So many superior blends and cultivars available.

I ask you a question 2 videos ago and you have not answered me. You said for viewers to ask you questions. I asked for help with my yard and You have since put out 2 videos without answering my question. I will not ask you anything again. I wont be back to your channel. So many times people start youtube channels and say they are doing it to help people, the truth is they are doing it for money. They think they're gonna make a bunch of money and they couldn't careless about helping anyone and I see you are one of those people. It's sad but it'd also the absolute truth.
