Project Leicht RS2 Quantum Syncro introduction; Tim's Enthusiast Garage S5 E4

What if Audi/Volkswagen/Porsche had put their latest 5 cylinder 20v turbo rally engine in the B2 chassis. 600-700 lbs less and with shorter gear ratios , this is the story of building my dream car, or rather, finding a Honda Engineer (Kevin Dopatka) who was passionate about early 5 cylinder Audi stuff. This is the early stages story of putting this beast together. 3B 20v 5 with AAN fueling and AUD snake and exhaust manis mated to a 200 20v 5 speed transmission with stage 2 clutch. Iroz K26 hybrid turbo Breathing into a fully custom waste gate integration and 3 inch front to back exhaust with Dahlbach and Wagner tuning bits including a super trick intake manifold and a custom intercooler from a C6 RS6. Larger fully custom radiator, all sorts of custom wiring , relocated stealth battery and 5 bolt conversion with Porsche brakes. Very custom, Very IMSA noises. Very excited. Many years ago, I had Quantum syncro and it was my favorite car of all time. Build like a tank, excellent awd system, simple to work on, incredible seats, just a solid driver. After I sold it to an enthusiast, I was depressed even though I had a new Lexus sitting in my driveway. I still miss the car and its simplicity and functionality. I have a severe aversion towards newer digital cars. Fast and capable yes, but soulless. Thank you for the series, brings a lot of fond memories.

This was sort of shot as Instagram stories. Also, there is a 1080 option. Next one will be back to normal, though I will admit the time and file size it takes to make a video is one of the reasons they are not so frequent. I am looking for some sponsors now as I have a back log of about 60 cars including new personal purchases I need to release.
