Hello there, nice work on the frame rail, and floor pan. Did you section in a piece of rail that frame rail you bought? Or did you install the whole thing, as received ? I am doing a 65 FB, just got past the full cowl job, added both front torque boxes, and a Pass rear torque box for good measure..

Thanks and if you go back to part 15 around the 21 min mark I show what I did. I basically plug welded an 1/8 plate inside, skinned it with 14 gauge to rebuild the front frame and then just installed the frame extension as normal.

I wonder if your spot welds are not doing well due to the black coating on the pan, from the factory?

Nice job. What do you use to paint the inside of the chassis rails before you weld the floorplans on top of them?

The replacement rails came coated with weld thru primer, but I gave everything a coat of red oxide before I put the floor pan on. I figure it is better than nothing, and I'm also planning on coating the inside with some sort of anti-rusting concoction when it's all said and done.

Awesome work man! I have a question what is the name of that frame rail that you replaced with the torque box? Also how do you remove the rust from the inside of the kick panels? Thanks

That's the front frame rail extension. I just used a wire brush and reached as far back as I could get. I also used a rust convertor and then eastwood internal frame coating inside all of the rails.
