I think I figured out how his power works. Every single movement he makes has the power of the pistol shrimp. I mean irl the pistol shrimp is really small and that wouldn’t happen. At least not the way you think. I’m sure if one did snap at you, it’d hurt like a bitch. Possibly even cost you a toe. But a a whole foot? Nah. I mean even when they snap at small fish or other critters to snack on, the attack doesn’t kill those critters. Just stuns them long enough for the shrimp to carry it off then eat it alive. Those shrimp are hella small. The collapsing cavitation bubbles they create, which produce the incredibly high temperatures we’ve recorded, are also incredibly small. It’s why those shrimp are so interesting. Such high temperatures, such intense loudness, such impressive pressure levels, all inside a tiny little vacuous bubble.

Pill’s supposed to last 5 minutes, but his power annihilates mofos in seconds. Drawbacks be damned, this guy got one of the best powers you could have to eliminate threats in a short amount of time. No wonder he treats it like a nuclear option. Also, as someone who’s a fan of DND, the fact his power comes from a pistol shrimp has me wanting to play a Druid so I can shapeshift into this creature, bonus if I have a way of enlarging myself with a potion so I can become as big as a human and get the same catastrophic results as what’s seen here.

Unreal they isolated the pure raw explosive aspect of the pistol shrimps punch and converted it into a power. Tho when I pictured someone wielding that kind of power I imagined concept in which the person's arm turns into a pistol shrimps arm. And then fires it like a cannon while locked into the ground. Bc that kind of force would have one hell of a kickback.
