So, my family is from Long Beach, but until I was 10, we lived in Upland, and then we moved back to Long Beach. My dad would commute from Upland to El Segundo or Long Beach, and then when we moved to Long Beach, his job was transferred to Monrovia and took night courses at Claremont so he had the same commute in reverse. Crazy to think what was once car commuting hell is turning into a $1.75 one-seat ride. What they really need to do is underground the street-running part of the Blue line in LA and also construct a spur along the Pacific Electric Long Beach ROW out to CSULB.
