• The A Line Foothill Extension 2B (this one) is 75% complete as of July 2023, and the current forecast for opening is Fall 2024, sooner than previously reported. • The Airport Metro Connector Project, a.k.a. the K Line Southern Extension is 65% complete as of July 2023, and the current forecast for opening is Fall 2024, on schedule. Along with the new station, it will also divide the C and K lines in a voted decision made in May 2023, extending the K Line toward the South Bay C Line stations with the C Line now ending at the currently under construction 'LAX / Metro Transit Center'. • The Westside Purple Line Extension Project, a.k.a. the D Line Extension Phase I is 85% complete as of July 2023, and the current forecast for opening is Spring 2025, months later than Fall 2024 in previous forecasts. The City of Beverly Hills has essentially made it more difficult for Metro to construct within their city limits, including restricted work hours and permits. Metro has allotted an additional $53m towards Phase II for this reason. Brand new CRRC HR4000 rolling stock will start to be introduced with the opening of Phase I on both B and D lines, replacing the aging Breda A650s in place today.

What is the potential start up date? Now this is MTA and foothill joint operation?

Probably early 2025 assuming it continues to stay on schedule. LA Metro will operate it as part of the A Line to Long Beach when it opens. Foothill Gold Line is the agency created by the state to construct an extension of the (now defunct) Gold Line to Montclair.

@@tjbulldog21 seeing it's underbudget instead of overbudget & went from 3/4 track work to 100% that fast, it's so promising. Hopefully continues great progress & no testing problems; without Montclair it's main benefit is LA County Fair & it is likely to be ready for 2025's year! That's one of the only places in greater LA except the South Bay that doesn't have a decent way to leave between 9pm & 11pm & I have to drive it
