Thanks for the video. I have mine that I need to mount and put the stickers on. I plan to do a ceramic coating after installing the stickers so hopefully that will help with the stickers staying in place.

That's the process I followed too but it unfortunately didn't help my stickers at all lol

Such cool rims. Imo they look better without stickers anyway. Plus I love the coloured wheel nuts, I have similar on mine 😎

Love the wheels, I have the same in white. Did you have to deal with re tightening the torque in the lug nuts for a few days ? The lugs don’t hold if under torqued. ?
@jonyrho5 ай бұрын
I typically will do a retorque after 100kms of driving but typically don't have any issues with the lugs backing off. What lug nuts are you using?
@brunostiglitz75355 ай бұрын
@@jonyrho not sure what they’re called but they’re some pretty strong forged steel lug nuts with the special multi hex key
@jonyrho5 ай бұрын
Maybe to a quick clean off the lug nut there and the studs to get off any potential oil or lubricant

You could put a layer of ceramic coat over the stickers!
@jonyrho2 жыл бұрын
I did actually but there's been a lot of people saying sticker quality from ICB Motorsports to be pretty poor. Probably will go with a set of stickers from a reputable source if I decide to get another

@@jonyrho I got the original stickers from Desmond itself from Japan. Hopefully they are ok. I've got told not to do pressure washing for a while!

Clean build bro. Plan on getting squared setup 17x8.5+43. What size tires would you recommend? Beside bumper tabs should i get rolled fenders? Dont know how or who will do it. My s2k is on koni yellow and skunk2 adjustable and ap1 wheels at the moment.
@jonyrho2 жыл бұрын
Thanks man! I'd probably go 245/40/17 for your set up. You'll definitely need to roll your fenders to prevent any rubbing. Rolling isn't too hard and just requires, a fender roller, heat gun and time. I would recommend watching tutorial videos and you might be able to find someone renting a roller out. I found myself rolling fenders quite a bit so I bought my own

I didn't get stickers with my TE37... or someone stole them, but now, I'm kind of glad that I didn't. Those are huge! Looks great! No wonder they seem so popular with the S2000 crowd. So big. That NSX, though!

What did you wash the wheels with to strip the stickers like that? I'm thinking of getting a set but had no idea the stickers were such bad quality considering they're +$52 on top of the rims. Did you contact ICB for a replacement?
@jonyrho Жыл бұрын
Just my usual pressure washer with a spray head that limits pressure. I've used it before on plenty of other wheels and cars without any issues. The stickers are a joke and it's a common issue that pops up with the ICB Evo IIs. I didn't bother contacting them as they were a pain to deal with in the first place for the shop I ordered my wheels from and most people go with aftermarket replacements instead. I was just going to run them bare instead

Life's too short for a stock car ;). I know most people only want to do completely reversible modifications. A set of S2000 spec wheels in 17x7.5 and 17x9 stagger would work without having to do any fender modifications if you wanted to change it up
