As an art student, whenever I’m down, I always come back to read Ena focused stories. Her drive inspires me. Even if I don’t become famous or anything like that, I want to find the resolve she has for herself.

I love my baby so much. Life is all about struggling and finding yourself. Ena managed to find what she truly wants to do and even if she has to struggle for it, I believe she can do it. I respect her so much for keeping at it, no matter how difficult, just moving forward, while also helping others on the way. I know she will become a great artist in the future and I can't wait to continue watching her journey

We can't really blame Papa Shinonome for being too harsh with Ena. He's a recognized artist for one and the path he threaded to get there was by no means easy, he knew very well what hardships await her and He knows so well too that in the art industry only a handful of few get to be successful. Now he's trying to protect Ena but his approach is a little too harsh for his sensitive daughter but ohh well guys lets be real He's the OG Shinonome just where do we think did Akito and Ena got their tsundere attitude??? Mama Shinonome seems chill and doesnt exhibit any sort of behaviour so there's only one conclusion... Anyways just as Ena steeled her resolve he finally acknowledged her but did so with a very curt "do as you like" which didn't seem like an acknowledgment due to the nature of the uttered phrase. But Ena understood this and smiled it off saying thank you the next second.

Honestly I think all the siblings got from their mother is their appearance (since I assume Akito's colouration came from her but Ena looks more like her which is likely considering all of the mother shown in the game so far resemble their daughters) since their tendency to silently suffer through their problems by themselves, Tsundere attitude and being bad at showing what they really mean came from their father. Anyways yeah, he does seem to learn from his mistakes and try to support Ena in his own quiet way especially after seeing her resolve to continue set despite everything.

I do still blame him cuz even if his intent was good, the way he executed it was horrible. His daughter might’ve always had a bit of a violent streak, as evidenced by her pushing her dad into a lake in one of the stories. But it def got worse cuz of his actions, to the point she was literally physically attacking Akito, making him buy her stuff, didn’t have many friends, was taking all forms of criticism too harshly and thinking it meant she was never going to get better. He literally worsened her behavior by not stepping up in parenting and then delivering his criticism poorly. Ppl still get on Akito’s case for the way he treated Kohane and what not, even tho he was traumatized by his past. The way he went about things was damaging, even if not to the extent his dad did things. They all tend to have problems with how they talk to others and end up hurting ppl. Of course, his methods were wrong but it seems like after Akito’s talk with him in the first Ena focus, he’s changed. And that’s great. Ena needed support before she could finally address the heart of what he was trying to tell her. Both Ena and Shinei changed in how they approach others, and I hope we do get some insight into his relationship with Akito since he’s so absent in his life.

It's funny how the subs still call him Ena's Dad when we know his name is Shinei but then again you do need to see her last focus event 4* to know that

Yeah. Maybe to suit how JP refer him. They refer Shinei as 父親 (Chichi oya), which means Father/Dad.
