I LOVE HOW THEY WENT WITH THIS ROUTE!!! It’s true that the other characters’ pamper Mafuyu a bit too much, and sometimes, someone just has to tell you straight to the point on what you need to do even when it hurts. I love his transparency, he’s trying to help Mafuyu in his own way. In a way where she needs a wake up call and to actually fight and speak up for herself. Mafuyu hasn’t even fought her mom yet so all of this isn’t over. As hurtful as it may be for Mafuyu, she needed to hear those words the most. On a side note: it’s so funny ‘cause his apathetic ass is like “y’all with this girl for 2 years and no one told her to rebel against her mom?? R u guys fkin’ for real????”

​@@ma.2089 Yeah, Mafuyu needed to slowly realize at first how N25 is important to her, if this was at the start of the game then she would have easily given up if her mom found out. But now that she's gone through so much with them, she can finally struggle at least a little against her mom- this is when Kaito can finally appear and push her to continue fighting not passively but actively against what her mom wants her to do- to turn back into being her pretty little puppet to manipulate. Kaito's entrance is perfectly timed in my view.

Miku, Rin, Len and Luka offered Mafuyu a place to relax, to feel welcomed in, to be herself and not worry about a thing. They offered Mafuyu a safe space because that's what she WANTED. Kaito, in the other hand, is giving her the cold, hard truth and rapidly and aggressively pushing her into action because that's what she NEEDS. The Vsingers at the Empty Sekai, and the Empty sekai itself, created stagnation by giving Mafuyu escapism, flight, you could say...Kaito came here to make her Fight. I’m gonna argue Kaito did give Mafuyu what she needed but so did the others Kaito told her what she needed to hear about her mom now that she was starting to heal a bit and she needed to fight back. Because the Sekai isn’t a permanent solution as she needs a way out of the circumstance. BUT Mafuyu needed a safe space at the start. And still needs a safe space especially when she does fight back. She’ll need to Sekai to go for comfort and recovery since fighting her mom isn’t going to be easy and it’ll likely lead to times where her mom hurts her emotionally. If kaito was that confrontational from the start of her arc, with her having no place to go to, it’ll come off as too harsh and rude and would likely only make the situation worse considering how close to disappearing mafuyu was from the start. . I know I shouldn’t get annoyed but it actually makes me very annoyed that people are forgetting how harmful the harsh truth can be when it’s just said at the wrong time. And how a place of comfort and kindness is still NEEDED as well. She NEEDS all of this. It’s not a one or the other thing.

Kaito appearing now can represent Mafuyu's inner rage reaching a boiling point and having nowhere else to go. Man this hurts my heart because Mafuyu's mom has such a grip on Mafuyu and it makes sense because that's all Mafuyu knows so far into her life. i know everyone is saying: YEAH EVERYONES SPOILING MAFUYU HELL YEAH KAITO and youre not wrong! i completely agree! but the reason why everyone has been doting on mafuyu and has been so gentle with her instead of forward, is because up until now we needed to help heal mafuyu. vocaloids only appear when you need them most, and as a manifestation of your emotions, hence why there are sekais. in this case, mafuyu has gotten so desperate to comply to her mom that she needs someone to bluntly put the truth in her face, which is why kaito showed up. i dont like putting almost all the blame on mafuyu for running away (which may be biased because shes my favorite character), but it was taught to her indirectly that she had to run away from these problems and comply. after like 16 years of that its gonna be a litttle hard to confront the manipulator, but mafuyu had been avoiding that for too long. but before confronstation, you should try and heal, which is exactly what she did. confronting her mom isnt going to be smooth or be comfortable, and yes, the vocaloids have been gentle and helped her avoid that, but that's because that's what she needed most at the time. i agree she should have been told from the start to confront her mom, but i also like to think that she couldn't have done that. she didn't understand what was happening until it was too late, which is why no one could tell her what to do. which was where sekai was born, and mikus not gonna be like: hey wassup bbg talk to your ma about your mommy issues! no, she's going to have a warm personality, because mafuyu can't be told that at this point, because she's already too far gone, and needs to heal before confrontation, yknow? because without her true feelings, she doesn't know what she wants, and she won't be able to decide whether or not she'll want to confront her mom because she has lost her will to live. people with depression often see things as pointless down this road, so she wouldn't be able to. I have been reading some comments with the same approach and yes! At the start, she was basically a ticking bomb wth OWN to, well, yk what they meant with dissapear, and she needed to heal first and sense she has a support group before going all out against her mom to fix her situation; if she did it at the start she would have no one and would also be miserable, maybe it wouldnt work at all; having Niigo is the first step, even if it took two years, because she needed to sense how important niigo is important to her first, and to know what it is to have a variety of personalities around her that will be there for her, and thats enough at first: Ena is also blunt but cares about her a lot, her actions and words are sometimes exactly what she needs; Kanade is compromised and gentle with her, she values her a lot and is now willing to fight for her as she understands how Mafuyu's mother doesn't care even if someone tells in her face that her daughter has been trying to heal from tough times through music and only sees her academics; and Mizuki is always attentive and tries to include her in the hang-outs even if she has no sense of taste and doesnt have answer regarding her preferences yet, and is the glue and mediator of the group; not to mention Shizuki, Honami, Ichika, Emu, Rui that also appreciate her and offer her support and are kind to her, and she notices now their little details, being on her birthday or in events like the archery event. Now that she sense how Niigo is so important to her, is time for another approach and her pent up fury rises: she is not alone now, but her mom found out about her healing and necessary support group, so now is time to fight because of what she has feeling these past events (even when she receives a message of her mom it hurts, just like in the archery event, and yet she wont connect two dots or wont accept it), and that's when KAITO comes into the picture. He is basically a "cool, you have friends and a 'comfortable' place to hide and run away for everything when it hurts, but now your mom knows about your friends. you can keep doing this, and come here to be babied, but when you get out of here your life will be the same -and you can lose niigo too since you just come here doing nothing-, so for the love of god, wake up", is time for a new route and im excited for it!

YES! Exactly! The other vocaloids provided a place for Mafuyu to heal and be herself before everything else. If Miku told her to fight her mom in the beginning, Mafuyu would not have listened and, even if she did confront her mom, she 100% would have lost. Mafuyu *needed* everything before this event to happen for her to fully trust in her support network and in her own desire for freedom.This is one of my favorite thing about her arc tbh. They are giving proper weight to Mafuyu's abuse and her decision to leave

I do get what mafuyu is saying somehow. Sometimes kids (what's the right word?) spare(?), forgive (?) whatever their parents do to them, may that be abuse or worse. I can't explain it in a better way but it happens. I could say I'm guilty of it. It took us two and a half years for someone to finally bluntly and forcefully point Mafuyu's inability to fight her mom and her mom's grip on her. Niigo Kaito's words is literally I want say to Mafuyu if I was in the Sekai. He be spitting facts that she needs to hear, and I respect that. Mafuyu needs to stand up for herself against that woman sooner or later. He's very straight forward and blunt, but also showing that he cares for Mafuyu in a blunt way, this is exactly what Mafuyu needed to face the reality. I really like this Kaito

man has no chill, but at least he’s directly saying the stuff that are facts and also what Mafuyu needed to hear. because no matter how hard you try to not face the problem or avoid acknowledging it, you can’t change the truth of the problem. lying to ourselves isn’t gonna help and so we always need someone to slap us with the harsh reality that we been trying to avoid. it’l hurt, yeah, but we have no choice but to accept it and so that we’ll be able to continue life without any doubts holding us back from being the better version of ourselves. yeah, the other virtual singers is always gentle with Mafuyu and don’t get me wrong, i love them for trying to help Mafuyu but i think it’s about time someone try to slap reality into her. which is why Kaito being the voice to wake up Mafuyu and also open her eyes more to the things she refuses to acknowledge is the best thing PJSekai will ever do. anyways, if we continue to ignore the problen and turn a blind eye to it. sooner or later, we’ll end up losing something that means the most to us because of us letting the problem to grow bigger. in Mafuyu’s case. if she continues to turn a blind eye to her mom’s manipulative actions and don’t bother to try harder to fight back. she might end up actually losing her feelings and lose herself again. i feel like some of the things i said didn’t make sense, but i said what was on my mind. still, i’m literally greatful that PJSekai made Kaito to be that one friend who cares deeply for you, but doesn’t wanna sugarcoat you with words, the one who wakes us up from our facade of thinking everything is fine, and also knows that we have to face the harsh reality one day. so, might aswell tell us sooner before it’s too late to fix what we lost. we all need that one friend who will open our eyes to our problems, rather letting us drown in pretty lies which won’t help us in our situation. so thank you Kaito for being that person to Mafuyu rn 🫶

KAITO really is the most accurate representation of the feelings that the sekai’s are made of. For example in the Wonderland Sekai, he’s happy that people look up to him but prefer to be realised as an ‘older brother’ figure than a ‘parent’ which is probably closely linked to Tsukasa and Saki. Then here, he’s portraying Mafuyu’s anger and what she really thinks, so I think it’s really cool

I’m gonna argue since this comment section is annoying me. Kaito did give Mafuyu what she needed I won’t deny that. She did need to hear this since her mo deserves no sympathy. but the other vocaloids gave her what she needed at the time. She needed a safe place of comfort and kindness. Kaito told her what she needed to hear about her mom now that she was starting to heal a bit and she needed to fight back. Because the Sekai isn’t a permanent solution as she needs a way out of the circumstance. Since her mom is still in control and can rid of mafuyu’s sense of self forever. And her not hearing the harsh truth will stagnate her. BUT Mafuyu needed a safe space at the start. And still needs a safe space especially when she does fight back. She’ll need to Sekai to go for comfort and recovery since fighting her mom isn’t going to be easy and it’ll likely lead to times where her mom hurts her emotionally. If kaito was that confrontational from the start of her arc, with her having no place to go to, it’ll come off as too harsh and rude and would likely only make the situation worse considering how close to disappearing mafuyu was from the start of I remember right. And even now. If it’s only kaito’s harsh words as she tries to fight back and fails. It’s only going to make things worse if she has no comfort. . I know I shouldn’t get annoyed but it actually makes me very annoyed that people are forgetting how harmful the harsh truth can be when it’s just said at the wrong time. And how a place of comfort and kindness is still NEEDED as well. Maybe the others do know this but I rarely see it acknowledged here and mostly see it as Miku and the others are only what mafuyu wants and that alone is a want She needs only kaito. That’s how it’s coming off She NEEDS all of this. It’s not a one or the other thing. She needs both the harshness and gentleness.

Maybe it’s because of the type of family I grew up in but I don’t even think Kaito was being harsh here. He was being blunt, sure, but he wasn’t putting Mafuyu down. He was telling her the only way to fix her situation. I’m with him here, I think the others are far too gentle and dance around her issues. Bottom line is, he’s here for a reason. Mafuyu needs someone direct, even if the others don’t like it.

KAITO's position is perfect. There was a lot of speculations about how he was going to be, and I think Colopale made the best decision by making KAITO spill the harsh truth to Mafuyu. A big factor for Mafuyus situation and troubles is the mentality of "respecting your elders" and "problems stay between the family" because she is bound to hold the at most respect towards her parents and because her parents are also the core of her problems it becomes this viscious cycle that unless she rebels and goes agaisnt the norm she won't be free. Of course the moment she goes agaisnt the norm there is the good chance she will become an outcast but at least she would be finally free and she has niigo who are all different from the "norm"

Niigo Kaito is pretty much me not gonna lie.
