Whatever you do. Do NOT use the eraser wheel on a painted plastic piece such as a bumper. It will take paint off. Only use it on metal

most of those adhesive removers are just a high concentrated IPA(isolpropal alcohol) that you can buy at the grocery store for less than a dollar. Try that instead of picking at it. You could also get a plastic razor blade thing that wont scratch your pain much. (yes it will still scratch it, but it shouldn't be bad enough that you cant compound and polish it off.)

Feels like it's right at about 250 whp. 1st gear is completely useless for me from the wheelspin lmao. Working on dropping to a 3.6" SC pulley, and adding a true dual x-pipe. Should put me at about neck and neck with an LS1. Right now I've taken a 4.6 2v with my current set up

Hey David, another thing that works in making sure you don't drop a nut like that is put a bit of dum dum on a socket or something sticky like that so the nut sticks to the socket

I’d paint the wing on SubZero a nice blue for contrast. Looks great regardless. You should get some track times on a course and 1/4 mile and update them every once in awhile after mods to check the difference.

I really dig that style of spoiler! Just a simple “blade” design. Pretty neat that it has the lower section in the center to help with visibility when looking into the center rear view mirror! Do they also make the extra little clear piece that you can bolt on to the center of the spoiler for even MORE downforce, like on the newer Corvette Z06?!

Dark window tint, rockers and a front lip in black, then the coil overs you have ordered and this will look sweet. You should get the arrow front turn signals too.

6:33 Dude (in blue), you should try the paper towel trick. worked on hex bolts and allens as well. Tear a small piece of a paper towel, and place it in the female side of the socket-or-screwdriver/bolt and insert the male end of the same into the other side. For example, with an allen, put the paper towel on the bolt, then insert an allen wrench. Now you have one solid piece that won't fall while fastening it together with a nut or material being screwed into. When tight, pull the tool as you normally would and the small piece of paper towel falls out like it was never there.

An easy way of keeping a nut or bolt secured in the socket is to take some tissue or paper towel and lay it over the head of the nut or bolt. You can then sandwich the tissue or paper towel in between the socket and the nut or bolt. Tare the excess paper away from the head of the socket. Remove the nut or bolt for a socket with tissue or paper towel lining the internal wall. It's a nice way of installing or removing nuts or bolts that are prone to falling out of the socket. It's a life saver if there are no magnetic tools at that moment.

Next time for a little advice for removing adhesive is invest in a eraser wheel. They are super easy to use and inexpensive. Just throw it on a power drill and use at low rpms. You can pick one up online or the local auto parts store.

To prevent the bolt from falling just close the trunk lid a little to make it perpendicular and it'll stay in the socket. I literally do this daily at my job...

You could have keep the trunk at the half way open point and removed the bolts without it dropping inside the trunk structure. You have the trunk opened all the way up making gravity push down on the bolt. If you have the trunk half way open, gravity pushes the bolt sideways preventing it from falling inside. But the magnet method was very clever.

She's looking THICC! Slowly but surely the changes are coming together. The inevitable drop and front splitter will probably button it up nicely. Heck, carbon fiber hood maybe? Wrap the center portion of the roof black? The storm trooper is there in full effect! Perhaps paint the calipers grabber blue, it would fit the color scheme and be a throwback to smurf without destroying the stormtrooper look it has.

I just put a Carbon Fiber spoiler on my Camaro SS and it’s the exact same process lol. Personally I think a carbon fiber spoiler on your S550 would look awesome but the black is definitely my second choice

Next time, cram some paper or shop towel into the socket when you are gonna screw it back in. Keeps the bolt from falling out of the socket, making things like this super easy. First trick i learned from my mentor.
