He has the adjustments wrong in the video. According to the ZX10r manaul you're supposed to turn it all the way CLOCKWISE first for both rebound and compression dampening. Rebound is 2 turns out from fully clockwise (150lb rider) and compression is 4 turns out from fully CLOCKWISE (150lb rider). Verify if for yourself, it's under 13-20 SUSPENSION in the 2006-2007 zx10r service manual. Hope this helps. BTW thank you for the install videos, I recently done the swap by watching your videos and I am very happy with the result. Couldn't have done it without these.

Pretty sure you compensate for the additional weight in the wrong direction. At least that is what the service manual indicates. All three adjustments, including sag.

I plan on installing the shock this week is the lower mounting bolt arrives. There are two ways I've read to hoist the bike up. First is to use ratchet straps around something high off the ground. I live in an apartment so I would have to use a ladder and run the ratchet straps over the top rung. Second option is to flip the passenger foot pegs and use a jack stand. I am going to go this route since I will be using jack stands at the frame sliders for the GSXR front end swap anyway.

These are up to about 200 bucks now on eBay and all have heavy mileage I went ahead and bought one anyway because it was fully serviced

i noticed you didn't calculate the linkage ratio and curve for either bike so setting up a zx10 shock on a sv650 with zx10 service manual information is mute and erroneous. the shock may work after some setup but it's just not going to be cut and paste like that. ask any other experienced suspension tuner.

Got your clockwise and counterclock wise mixed up at 2:32 and 3:02. You motion clockwise but say counterclockwise

You should include the year of your bike. 1st gen and 2nd gen is different.

Dude I don’t think your reading the actual zx10r manual.. rebound isn’t 1 3/4th of a turn for 150lb. & 3 turns on the comp for 150lb.. what are you reading from?..
