Hi mate.... Thanks for the comment and time to watch my video 👍. I will do a video on them when get chance as doing the brickwork first. On jobs that allow blockwork first I always use them. I used them to set the blockwork out as got blues up and got a radon tray going onto blues which is needed my blockwork up to do that. 👍

Hi Mark. I have not yet as the week I did set them up for blues, I didn't have space on my sd card and the same with room on laptop so stopped me tbh. However I have got a few to set tommorow so I will get footage. A few internal etc. The weather killed us aswell last week only managed to get 2 days in. Hopefully this week bring a 🌞 one. Great video dude .Looks like you run a very methodical and clean site... Do you not have some detailed wall section drawings ?
@Forest_Ry5 жыл бұрын
Thanks Ronnie, much appreciated. I have an OCD and get really annoyed if it's a mess. I hate paper, brick bands, rubble etc all over shot I always say A tidy site is a safe site. I will get a close up of the sections plans soon, I will dig out a big copy. 👍
@ronniebiggs40265 жыл бұрын
Cheers dude it’s not for my benefit as over the years I have seen them all ,but for any youngsters or folk having a go I would always insist the architect produce a set of detailed wall sections which should show the DPC and then cill heights ,Lintel heights, First floor ,Fire barrier, Trays , wallplate bla bla. This also has the advantage of storey heights so you can do an accurate takeoff of materials as you would have the width on the plan and the height on the section thus saving you time and waste trying to scale a drawing that er ...isn’t to scale .Hope this helps .🤔

@@ronniebiggs4026 love the reply ronnie. Nothing like the old school helping out us younguns much appreciated and respect👍 Top man. The architect on this job is bang on I do have a copy of sections but didn't have them on me at the time as didn't really need them at that point however I now have them and will show them. Can't go wrong really follow the plans. Take care ronnie 👍
@ronniebiggs40265 жыл бұрын
RJM Bricklaying & Outdoors ..Ha ! Don’t follow the plans as a bible as over the years some simple back checking has revealed a few mistakes the most obvious one being window openings or panels not measured to brick lengths or inverts given on Manhole chambers were pipework ends up with no fall ect .If in doubt get off that backside and double check ..Just sayin 🤔😎💪
@Forest_Ry5 жыл бұрын
@@ronniebiggs4026 sound for the advice dude. I didn't put drains in so not on my head.... I just follow the plans as if there's any f@#k ups then it's not down to me it's down to the architect. Is that wrong to do? I do make things work brick if I can sometimes it can't be helped due to opening sizes not working brick etc. 👍💪

Hi what was the level you where marking out? Very tidy site BTW.
@Forest_Ry5 жыл бұрын
Hi there sir, thankyou for taking time to watch and comment. It means aloy. It was mark to get level and then I measured down to my FFL as didn't have a staff. If that makes sense. Thanks 👍
@ronniebiggs40265 жыл бұрын
Yup this level mark is normally 1 meter above the proposed FFL ( Finished Floor Level ) The Finished floor level is usually set on a peg away from the building and in an area that can’t be knocked so the engineer or site agent can easily go back on to it an transfer any level around the site using the ffl as a reference point at all times ,this could be an invert of a manhole chamber or say the landing to a 1st floor set of concrete stairs and of course the wall plate.
