Do you have a pair? If not they are defo worth checking out dude. They are strong, reliable, versatile. You could hang of it dude there that strong once up😂. Like if you don't like the Blake ser on the corner you can always flip it upside down and use it as a normal straight profile, if you know what I mean! 👍👌🇬🇧⚒

Great vid could you use Blake's profile for laying stone
@SteveAndAlexBuild5 жыл бұрын
Absolutely 100% agree , “original and best “ 👌🏼. I’ve had my set since 1987 , got them when I was an apprentice. Still going strong and wouldn’t be without them . I even did a video way back last year . Just one thing I noticed , it looked like you were unscrewing to plumb up . Not preaching here but I always use a decent magnetic boat level to free both hands . Then I make sure the profile is set to lean out away from the wall slightly , then as you are turning the screws to plumb up you are actually tightening everything up , so no need to touch the clamps again . One last thing , the setting tool is quite soft so tuning the screws it knackers up quite quick . What I do is lean on the profile very gently and tighten them by hand . Nice one 👌🏼🧱👍🏼

They defo are pal. I'm the same, never can have enough either. I know what you mean pal, at the time I left my stabila boat level at home 😱 got to the job and was like s#$t 😂. So that was the only tool I had. Thanks for the other tips, obviously you have had them longer than i so i appreciate the tips and respect for giving out a bit of knowledge. I will check your video out. Cheers pal 👍🇬🇧⚒

RJM Bricklaying & Outdoors . I’m not into those new ones that clamp against the brick , inferior imitations in my opinion 😬🧱👍🏼
@Forest_Ry5 жыл бұрын
@@SteveAndAlexBuild oh right, so the ones I have are slightly different to your then? The PT profiles are a lower quality profile of the original blake and changed their logo to faithful. There are numerous of imitations. I don't know if you agree with me but i see alot of brickies using a straight profile and using f clamps and "a frame" and say to me "oh you don't need them profiles" as in Blake's, I say well at least I dont have to rush to get the flank up or whatever to take down profile to joint up because it masks the brickwork, I see it as time wasting 👍⚒🇬🇧
@SteveAndAlexBuild5 жыл бұрын
RJM Bricklaying & Outdoors no I’m on about these new fangled things you mention with the f clamps that as you say need taking down to joint up . Mine are the same as yours but I think they are a bit shorter and they weren’t painted back when I bought them 🧱👍🏼

Fuerentura or whatever Haha is one my favourite holiday destinations as the climate/weather is perfect, you get the heat but with a nice gentle breeze 👌. I have a few projects already lined up for after the one I am doing atm. Check out Www.blakesbuildingprofiles.co.uk Honestly Mitchell you won't be disappointed. I had these when I was 18 and never looked back. They will save you time and controlled brickwork everytime and you could potentially earn more money. If you get the 8ft there versatile, you can set up them up like normal straights if you turn the clamp/screw end upside down and use normal f clamps to brickwork, which does mask brickwork. Where as if you get the 8fts you can literally leave them up until joist lift. And so on on next lift just leave them up. enjoy the rest of you or holiday mate Take care 👍👌🇬🇧⚒

Yup I think everyone is busy at the moment .Just dug a foundation ( nice sand ) for a large bay single storey extension ( single storey ) just trying to work out if it’s cheaper to take the bricks for cut and bond or hire a table saw and do them myself but either way no big deal .....Unless the Euro comes in on Friday night that is 🤔🤪😥
