It’s a good practice to set the bullet on top of the case as soon as the powder is dropped to eliminate the possibility of an accidental double charge with smokeless powder.

The velocity in my 30 30 is best at 1600 to 1800 fps

It's good to start with minimum powder with the longer bullets as they are seated closer to the powder which will increase pressure also check next round in tube for overall length to see crimp was adequate

The 94 winchester had an escape pressure hole on the right side these rifles have never blown up 🙂

I’m using 18 gr. of IMR 4198, and 16 gr. of Accurate 5744 and 165 gr. cast bullets in my Winchester High Wall.

Hi J&T. Thanks for your kind words 😊 In Norway you can own bolt-, lever action and semi-automatic hunting rifles. Semiautos for hunting must be of non-military type. Like Browning BAR and Benelli Argo. Shotguns must be of traditional O/U, S/S, semi-auto or pump. The semi-autos and pumps must be of no-military looking type. You are limited to six hunting guns in total. As a registered sports shooter, you can own both semiautos and revolvers depending on your shooting activity and programs. There are a lot of rules and regulations, but this is the “hi-lights” 😊.

It's always disapointing with ftx bullets... They are longer and the internal volume is reduced, thus mouth velocity is reduced... But you must think about what's hitting your target, not what leaves your gun. I never heard you talk about internal volume of your cases, it's the most important...
