that thing is pulling like a train, the first flight, second flight no so sure, its that time to make the smallest of adjustments the weight looks good, will be a lot better with the right blades, sounds great though I genuinly think you can do this - so come jeff haul some ass and smash that record !

Thank you! I appreciate the support and the kind words. It is definitely getting faster and faster with every flight. I still have the head speed lower and the pitch lower than what I will be running with the new blades. I also have some ideas for the nose pitching up that I will be trying. It’s all test and tune in trial and error!

Definitely faster on a lower head speed. The optimal performance would be loads of postive pitch and tons of motor power. The higher headspead creates drag and approaches it closer to RBS.

Do you want more head speed! It is still on lower head speed and what I will be running. The idea of lower head speed in a lot of pitch is a good idea but you want somewhere around 2700 may be a little bit more. If you watch all the speed helicopters, they are turning a minimum of 2700 RPM with 16+ degrees of pitch, I have modified the frame to allow up to 24° of pitch.

So radar is not an accurate or good way to test speed just because the object is not metal to reflect off of but there is GPS on the helicopter two different ones actually. And I will be getting the official record with Sino wave taking a measured point from a distance to another distance. as GPS is not always accurate either! So I wanna have multiple forms of speed measurement

Did you end up replacing the motor on it or is it still the one it came with? This is running on 14s correct?

Still running the Xnova 50 XX motor on 14s. The new motor will be a 50 XX as well. Just a little bit lower KV on 16s with a YGE 255 ESC.

I turned up the head speed a little bit from the last video and moving the batteries. Farther forward allowed me to get more on the pitch and not worry about it pitching the nose up violently.
