sounds like fun! Intercooler would be the last thing i would do. Say if heads and a cam and 60 whp and intercooler will add anouther 40 whp on top of that. It all depends on the tune and the fuel you are running. good luck.

Hey man, I'm new to your videos and you have no idea how impressed I am with your GP. I myself have had a naturally aspirated 05 GP GT that I bought in 2010 and I'm having a hard time sourcing performance parts on the scale of yours. I'm very interested in starting my own build and turning mine into a track day car. For the trans I have the ZZP shift kit for now. I know when i go to the track with slicks I could see some problams. I hope not just get me through this year!! I have owned the car since about 40,000 miles on it My wife drove it for 4 years till she got a new car. I have had fluid and filter in trans replaced 2 times now. So I pretty much know all the service history. Only time will tell.

Thaks, I probably could get away with a 2.8 if i didnt have to machine my snout. 2.9 for sure and i did think about it. When i was getting it tunned at ZZP I ran in a coulple of issues. first I had no power to my MAF then maxed my MAF sensor out and had to put the LQ4 MAF in. I also was not sure how my stock fuel system was going to do with more boost. So I had Tim get it running good and make it a safe daily street car. It runs great and even on hot humid days 0 kr.

ya I love the car great reliable and have had almost no problems with it. Yes this is stock transmision. I do have raised shift points on a zzp shift kit so it shifts hard and nothing has broke yet. I dont do burnouts or really beat on my car.

Looks good man! Can't you go lower then a 3.0 pulley with that set up. I have basically the same setup but stock heads, instead of a cam 1.9 roller rockers with 105# springs, and 42.5# injectors. I haven't had any problems running my 3.0 pulley. You should be able to step it down with your set up. Any ways looks good, nice to see the 04+ body styles get some major performance upgrades. Just a warning go easy on that trans. Broke my input shaft in half, the guys a ZZP hooked me up with a built o

thanks its a lot of fun! You have a great start. I would run autolite 104 or the tr6's spark plugs. Did you do a down pipe with your headers? You really need to get a u bend delete or a downpipe. then I would do the zzp 1.0 pcm and smaller pulley at the same time. shift kit is a great mod with the pcm and will make trans last much longer. when you get done with this message me and ill tell you what next. good luck

so tru cruze with the 1.4 turbo is nice but even zzp cruze in still sitting in the high 13s 1/4 mile times. thats with 3 grand in performance mods so you are for sure restriced with that car. but you get 30 mpg on a bad day and almost 40 mpg on a good one. great car if you ask me.

Yes but now much. Right around 1 to 1.5 MPG sometimes less. EGR is to save on polution and emisions not so much gas milage.

Ya that is what a stock resenator and muffalers gets you. I personaly like it. You can still hear the cam and motor noise. So i know the car is running right. Hey who ever tunes your car could they take a look at mine. I do not like how it idles somethims and was wondering if it was normal? thanks

Man those cams make it sound sexy. I've got the full ZZP 3" system with stock cams and it is just a buzz. I good deep buzz, but not any real separation between each fired cylinder. Unfortunately the price it too high to have them installed and my skills aren't there to do it myself so I will just have to make due.

I need some advice. Im looking at either 97-03 gtp or possibly an 04 or 05 gtp. I love the look of the 97-03s and currently own an 03 gt but theres something about the 04+ I like and they seem more reliable with that gen V. What do you think?

damn man excellent build love watching your videos I just bought my gtp a month ago already mad a custom intake for it and put in some speed daddy headers and a 180 t stat I put factory wires in it and autolite 606p plugs what mods should I do next? pulley ? pcm ? suspension mounts? shift kit?

Thanks, the reson the supercharger is sitting so high is because of the intercooler. It sits about 2.50 inches higher the the stock gtp. Personal message me and ill help you start your build. Start at zzperformance you will find everything you need there.

97-03 body style are a lighter car and easier to tune and mod. If you can find a low mile 02 or 03 jump on it and get it. You can always put a Gen V on a 97-03. The gen V is more efficient so you can run larger pullies and creat same anount of boost. I do love my 05 but takes alot of tunning and time which equals money to make it a fast reliable car. If I could do it again i would do a 05 gt na and turbo the car. just saying good luck bro!!

Not to bad. There is some cutting of plastic. ZZP does pretty good job with instructions. I would recommend going with black intercooler hoses. They hide better in the engine bay.

Exactly. I test drove an 03 GTP awhile back and loved it. But I like the 04 and 05 GTP's better. I thought about top swapping the wife's car. I could do it myself I'm a level 3 technician but I would much rather just buy a GTP instead.

Great questions EGR recycle your unburned fuel and is fed back in to your intake to burn again giving your car about an extra 1 to 1.5 mpg gain. the big reason cars have them is for polution reason let unburned gas in the air/Ozone is better for the world. Performance gives you about 2 to 3 whp gain and sheds about 4 lb. So bottom line you dont really need it and gain are vary small. only if you have smog testing in your state then you want to keep it. Michigan does not.

I bought one from wbodystore, but they drop shipped from zzp and sent me their core instead too, but for literally half the price of zzps I couldn't be happier. But I have the turndown, and fuel logs. Just waiting for it to get a little warmer. Did you use the alternator relocation brackets? Because zzp recommends them also. N I have the inferno hood and I have coilovers too so idk if ill need cradle spacers or not. I guess I'll have to wait and see.

I did not have to use the alternator relocation brackets. im not sure what you will need with your set up. I would think your hood would give you extra clearence but hard to say.You will know righ away. I bought all the brackets and what i didnt used i returned to zzp. better safe then sorry.

Thanks there is so much you can put in these car. for your car i would recomend going with a turbo build. Way more power and economical. I stuck with the supercharger because It was stock. when i was done building my car it ran 12.98 1/4 mile times with street tires and stock transmision. good luck with your buil message me with any questions.

I know the stock cat-back can handle the added power of you build but cut those hideous "pig-nose" exhaust tips off! I like the SPO double dual look. I cut my and clamped em on. Had a friend in PA that was turbo'd w/ stock trans (same mods as your trans too). Trans lasted well over 3 yrs of track time and street fun. His best was 13.01. I'm liking your GP. Just change the tips...LOL!

Hey did you change your alternator at all? Did your voltage every fluctuate from 12-14 05-08 have those issues some internal regulator I know they didnt make a voltage booster and what timing was your car at and what inj were you running

If your not welling to put lots of time and $3,000 to $5,000 to spend on it. you might want to not start. this car for less then a $1,000 is fast. intake, tune, downpipe colder spark plugs, smaller pulley and 180° Thermostat. boom 50 whp.

+Scott Snyder polishing supercharger is a wast of time. if you have a Gen V M90 don't touch it unless something breaks or wear out. also don't try to polish your own heads. zzp stage 3 cnc heads with 130lb springs on the XP cam is a sweet set up. I would do cnc stage 3 heads over an intercooler. just my personal thoughts.

Brandon Moody ya that's a great start. Really the best things to do and have a great daily driver. I sold it a couple years ago and now have a 2013 Audi S4 with an APR tune. Car has a 3 liter supercharged V6. With the all wheel drive and 400 lb less weight then the GTP it's a really fun car.

Brandon Moody 12.82 was fastest in 1/4 mile. You will be just under 300 wheel HP. With those mods on a good time using 93 octane fuel.

no I did not need cradle spacers. My car was not lowered and i was running a stock hood. I did need a throttle body turn down spacer. I would say by the parts you can always return them. Did you get one of zzp intercoolers on blackfriday sale?

Your pcm (computer) will be tuned for the mods that you have so do the computer last or all at one time. Car will not throw any codes if the computer is flashed (tuned) right with the specs you give zzperformance. You do not have to get it dyno till you get hevy with mods like cam, intercooler, heads, E85 and maybe even 1.9 rockers. If done right your car will never blow or have any kr (knock reatard). So with this being said MOD away. Drive fast and take chances.
