Project Zomboid Fishing Guide in Under 4 Minutes

Honestly, Project Zomboid can be a little too hustle and bustle for me sometimes. That's when I like to gather a few supplies and go fishing. In this video I'm gonna teach you not only how to feed yourself, but how to become one with the water.

I'm late, but you can also fish with a spear. It's a good way to level fishing up from the lower levels because it won't break any lines or take condition from your spear. It lowers the abundance level though.

Tips: 1) Don't ignore cooking. If you fish and grow 2 plants (say, potato and cabbage), you can make nutritious soups or stews, just add 2 of each to a, for example, 10 pots, cook them all and freeze, you will have excellent food for the next 2-4 weeks (depending on whether you need to sustain, gain or lose weight) 2) Not mentioned in the video, but DON'T IGNORE YOUR NETS!!!! They're not like animal traps, if you set them overnight, the first thing you need to do in the morning is run to them and take them out. They have a 100% CHANCE OF BREAKING if you leave them for over 18 or 24 hours

didn't talk about 2 major points : don't leave your fishing net for too long (not more than 4 hours) else it will break, you can get it back then put it back to reset this timer. If you fish from 4am to 7am or from 7pm to 9pm you'll have better chances to catch.

Does the abundance lvl ever come back? :( I’ve been fishing for a while and it has been at 20% for around 2 weeks now (I’m in the 7th month btw :c) Does it have to do with the fact that I fished with a spear??

I tried looking around for this and I haven't found a thing about abundance. I know there was a visual glitch where it would say it's at 0% but you start fishing and it bumps back to 100. Maybe it's that still? It was a problem about a year or two ago though

As far as I understand it, neither of these resources are renewable. You just gotta go find them somewhere (or delve into mods :D )

fishing rods are meant to be used as early to mid game when you havent maxed yet fishing, when you are at fishing 6-7 you can start using spear.

Shame that twine is very hard to come by. On day 105, cleared West Point, and I have 4 twine. I did have 6 but used them to make traps.
