this is actually pretty interesting. was light infantry irl for 7 years, with over 2k hrs in arma 3 and about 1k in pz. theres something about pz that makes building clearing and working in a cohesive unit a lot more satisfying, something i didnt really get out of arma 3 milsim. id be really interested in trying this lol gonna sub and keep my ears open for when this opens up again. looks like fun!

To answer a few questions you had during the mission. 1) PZ likes to prioritize partial mags in your main inventory over full mags anywhere else, using the radial menu as said by someone in the op you can load full mags or empty out the partials. 2) You might have taken vet as an occupation but stress can come from different sources depending on traits, eg: fear of blood, smoker. what your character got stressed from was zombies thumping on doors/windows. you can counter stress by reading magazines/books. 3) You can remove your agony/pain moodle via painkillers/booze as needed. (do not mix those) it helps you aim better (duh). 4) The vehicle in the convoy is an 84' Cadillac Gage LAV-300. 5) To pick up the figurines/props around town you can use the build menu (the cabinet icon). 6) You have depression from not pissing, same thing for stress. (stupid ass feature of the mod) , counter via antidepressants. (neat feature is if you have the smoker trait you can smoke away depression).

The overall gameplay feels like it suits itself very nicely towards milsim style play. I tried to do something similar in PZ with my ARMA unit buddies, but we never really got it going. These guys have it down much much better.

I love milsim, in OFP, Arma, DCS, whatever game... but what I can`t stand is how people freak out with formations... They are NOT supposed to keep you on rails, they are supposed to be dynamic and fluid, either in milsim games AND real life.

This is actually a good gameplay. Usually people are panicking when play PZ, even with Multiplayer, but this one is well-coordinated, calm, strategic, really gives a new fresh air to the game

after that vid i checked out on youtube see if there's anything similar, weirdly enough PZ doesnt see any Milsim operation like that.. the knox event and the border at louisville and all that seems prime subject for it tho most i've seen is just a few dudes in uniform at the military base shooting zombies without real orders or anything to it

the multiplayer is infamously jank at this stage in development and there are tons of common desync issues and annoyances that make wide milsim not practical, its hard to coordinate if whole squad sees themselves at wildly different positions on each client

I never play Multiplayer (except with friends), so I never had the opportunity to do something like that, but when I want to get into a PZ game quickly I like to use the parachuting start with those Black Ops professions and basically roleplay for myself as the only surviving member of a parachute unit. But everytime I visit the big military base I start brainstorming for a multiplayer experience where there are different survivor groups out there playing normal PZ multiplayer and then like on the weekends those who don't have that much time can be part of a military expedition that tries to secure the military base (where there would be vehicles for them to work with) and then needs to find some key elements in the zone to potentially find a cure. Like I think the Black Ops mod actually adds some documents and an experimental vial to find. And there was always the radiostation in the woods around Riverside I always saw as very suspicious, maybe some crazy escaped scientist could hide there. And maybe also have a mission later on have a big caravan to evacuate people and all the survivors get informations on radio where the military will pick up civilians (they will be transported through multiple checkpoints and checked for infection at each one of course).

Exercise pain :( Since we play on a ~1.5-1 timescale instead of the default ~20-1, the pain that lasts 12 hours in game lasts 9 hrs IRL... Which is sort of OK, except my FOOD goes BAD while I'm logged out but my fucking exercise "fatigue" doesn't. Extremely annoying double standard.

@@Jester814 To be honest you can probably tell why that is - basically if you had fresh food at risk of going bad you could just give it to someone and have them log back on when you need it to protect it. And the exercise fatigue is meant to be a consequence of exercise, so you should really feel all of it. The game is sadistic, so whenever you are annoyed by something or it's interfering with your gameplay - the game is doing it's job ;)
