I'm glad my tips from last time seemed to help you out, Here is some more. 00:33:36 your too far from the fence, you can hit/push them as soon as they attempt to jump it and they will fall flat, same with windows, but they lunge as soon as they get the chance if you have to walk closer to them to stomp after they climb over your too far away and should move away or they will take those knees. also if your standing on a zombies it cannot stand up or hit you (unless it's a crawler those can still hit you), and if a zombie is standing on another zombie same thing so you don't have to try to knock every zombie in a group over as long as the last one is standing on the others. You can close windows by pressing E it's much much faster then using the context menus (hold E to jump out, press it to open/close). as for cooking it's got alot too it but it's not complicated, you can cook food by placing them in the oven, microwave, ect .and turning them on, but it will start to burn shortly after reaching 100% and it continues to cook for a bit even after turning off the oven so take it out as soon as it's done and turn the oven off when it's close to 100%, (you an check the cooking % by clicking the arrow on the item and expanding the info.) If you leave them on after, they can catch fire and burn down your house. You however found a cooking pot, that means you can make stews, you fill the pot with water and then click the pot to add ingredients and then put it in the oven. the green outline shows your target and that you "should" be in range but your weapons is short so you should be a little closer, if your too close however you will push them instead of attack because weapons have a minimum and maximum attack range. Also if you didn't notice you started swinging slowly because your main arm is wounded at the current level of wounds fighting isn't worth it, just focus on losing them, going through houses with a back door or window and shutting the doors behind you is a good way to get distance, use you interact key effectively (E by default) as you can close/open doors behind you so you can keep moving. your server says potentially unstable cause its set to 32 max players , lower the count to 30 or lower and that will go away. Here is the best starting tip i can give you guys end up starting over again, If your struggling with the zombie amount on default settings and don't want to switch to low population , then change the Population Start Multiplier under the Advanced Zombie Options to 0.05, that should make the starting population 5% of the usually population amount and should make the early game alot more manageable, or 0.5 for 50%. If you claim a safehouse if that option is enabled, (you can change this options midgame if it is not.) You can click inside you safehouse and check it, and there is an option to respawn in safehouse when you die. you can also invite others to the safehouse and they can check that option as well. i never see you zoom out on the map, but im fairly sure you should be able to see the other players on the map so you can meet up easier. my server at least you can and i don't think it was any special setting. I can see the improvement from last time already so keep at it, experience is the best teacher in this game. I'll add another comment if i see anything else that needs tips as I keep watching.

02:02:19 when a cooking pot is fully red it is considered hot and boiling, the water should be clean and you should be able to use it to sterilized rags and bandages, also i found the map settings so you can see the location of the other players, in the sandbox settings in Players settings belower Spawn Regions and above Admin , there is a setting called MapRemotePlayerVisibility if you set that to 3 every player on the server can see the other players and it will make it easier for you to find each other without having to share screenshots.

Also there is a % chance on each laceration and a lower % on scratches that you will get the zombie infection. Thats what happened and why you couldn't get cooled down while nearly naked.

Life and living is the channel to put it on, it will give cooking, carpentry, foraging, fishing, all. It raises your skills much much faster. So take advantage of it while the power is still on.

With Spears, as your Carpentry skill goes up, they get more durability. Also the higher tour maintenance skill is, the lower your chance to lose durability on a hit is. Raise Carpentry by building, crafting, and disassembling things using carpentry tools (hammer and saw mostly) raise maintenance by beating Zombies over the head with assorted objects.

i would also recommend that you always keep one bottle of water on you and one in your bag. Then just fill them as you're out looting. You'll drink automatically so you wont be thirsty anymore.

Actually Q button is really useful button for crowd control. Like move around an area screaming your head off attracting them all to you. Then lose the horde behind a house and you have a temporary clear area to loot.

I've been playing this since your first video, and even though I said I'd reduce the difficulty, I actually found that the default difficulty isn't that bad. I don't know if any of this will be helpful, but here are some things I've learned as I've given Project Zomboid a second chance: -Start in Mulbraugh (I think that's how it's spelled?), and head Northeast. You'll come across a pretty neat farm in the middle of the woods, and hardly any zombies ever show up there. It makes for a great base. -Getting bitten is a death sentence. From what I've read online, a bite is guaranteed to give you the zombie virus, which is incurable. Nausea and uncomfortable heat will increase until you die, and there's nothing you can do about it. -Boredom, unhappiness, panic, and stress are different things. Keep that in mind when you try to reduce any of them. The TV will mostly reduce boredom, but it can also reduce unhappiness and stress. Your best bet to reduce unhappiness is a book (the item literally called "Book", that is). Newspapers and magazines are good for reducing boredom and stress. Panic is only relevant when zombies are actively threatening you, from what I've seen, so you'll never have it while you're safe. -I gave my character the near-sighted attribute, and it really doesn't seem to affect my visibility that much. Since it counts as a negative attribute, it gives you more room for beneficial attributes. I went with the following build: Short Sighted, Fast Reader (very, very helpful!), Light Eater (also helpful), and Lucky. I don't 100% know what Lucky does, but I once found a cabinet full of guns and ammo, as well as two zombies wearing bulletproof vests (out in the middle of nowhere), so I think it probably increases odds of getting good stuff in loot. -If you see a lead pipe, don't pass that up. It does a ton of damage, and its durability is ridiculous. Not to mention, it's a one-handed weapon, so it has a pretty fast attack. -If you have sleeping turned on, the best time to exercise is between noon and 1:00 pm. If you exercise then, your exercise fatigue will kick in while you're asleep, and it'll be gone before you wake up. I'm focusing on push-ups, which will eventually increase my strength, which I think will increase my carrying capacity. -If you hear a helicopter, get ready to run. It attracts zombies in droves, even in a relatively remote area like the one I mentioned in the first tip. Try to get the zombies' attention and lure them into the woods, where you can then easily lose them. -If you right click on the ground near an item you found with foraging, it usually gives you the option to discard it, which is helpful with items you don't want to take a risk with, like mushrooms or berries (I died after eating some apparently poisonous mushrooms). It also gives you more experience than you would get if you took the item. That's all I can think of for now. I hope you found at least one of those tips interesting or useful! I'm currently in my longest-running game (I've been restarting the entire world each time I die), and it's going pretty well. The water just shut off, and I'm sure power will be gone before long too. I'm going to try to get water from a somewhat nearby pond and boil it, and I'll have to start chopping wood soon so I can make campfires for when the power goes out. I'm hoping I can get to the point where I can survive indefinitely in this run!

Its kinda funny how so many Zombie Games seem to favor bladed weapons. In reality you would want a nice hammer or another sturdy blunt weapon. Bladed weapons might get stuck if you'd swing it at a Zombie. A blunt weapon doesn't get stuck and its much easier to crack a skull with it.

Traps need to be 70 tiles away from where you are for like at least 12 hours to catch something. And you should bait it with carrots, cabbages or potatoes
@MahDryBread24 күн бұрын
Thanks! How big is a tile exactly? Are we talking like just a little square on the ground, the size of a fridge or something?
@pavelZhd23 күн бұрын
@@MahDryBread yes. The tile in this example is hat green outline "roughly size of a fridge". And the number 70 is a bit arbitrary. Basically the traps need o end up in a part of the map that is unloaded from immediate surroundings so that catch system can take it over.

Here are some answers to questions you had if you care to look at them. Not gonna give any unwanted tips or anything. Just the "why is this this way" sort of stuff. Feel free to ignore if you just don't want the unsolicited clarification. I'll start with the one about the wiggling health thing that was specifically asked. Either way, excited for future Zomboid videos. If the Heart symbol is wiggling, that means your taking some kind of damage. The three most common reasons are Bleeding, Over-encumbered, and Knox Infection. Being Encumbered on its own won't kill you, but can cause a lot of damage. Knox Infection will just make it constantly wiggle until you die. You get hungry more often if your body is healing. Similarly, if you need to heal but you are hungry, you will heal either slower, or not at all, depending on the level of hunger. Mods have to be enabled by the server host. Even mods that don't change anything functional like sound effect replacements. Have the host make sure the mod is added to both the Mod and Workshop list in the server settings. Then whenever a player joins the server it will prompt them to download or update the mods. Cooking and ovens/stoves is just the general capacity of the thing. It's a lot more logical if you consider placing something on a burner, and placing something in the stove as the same thing. Campfires work the same way, but having a container capacity, but when cooking on an open fire you're not likely just throwing an open pot and a skillet directly into the fire. You can place pots and pans on top of the stove by right clicking the item in your inventory, but that serves no mechanical function. Targeting issues with attacks like stomping are often just by having the cursor in the wrong spot. There are weapons that have specific kill animations that the game will not use if the player has more than one zombie in their direct view and within a certain range to save the player from getting grabbed while using the slower animation. I'm not certain, but stomping may have a similar safeguard where you default back to shoving if there is another zombie directly in front of you. The red car you found the key for was a wreck. Any of the vehicles the look like a side has been crushed in you won't be able to enter, even if you have the key. Trunks are still accessible though if unlocked. You'll find maps for other cities on zombies because of the implication that people were traveling before succumbing to the infection, as well as the general idea of zombie migration. Additionally it should be noted that the game takes place in the mid-90s, where it was not uncommon to find brochure-style maps for nearby cities and tourist locations. Louisville being the biggest tourist destination for Knox county means you'll find a lot of those. Zombies just don't set off house alarms by default. There is a setting to turn it on though. Multiple people shoving zombies can prevent them from falling over. One player will successfully push the zombie over, but the other player will shove them again, cancelling the animation and resetting them to standing. This one is from the previous upload, but here's some clarification on repairing and the materials needed. If you need "Wood Glue 2" for repairing, that doesn't necessarily mean you need 2 bottles of wood glue. Each bottle of glue or roll of tape or spool of thread has a capacity indicated by a green bar. So "Wood Glue 2" just means you need 2 ticks out of the capacity from the Wood Glue bottle. I'll leave one final one after a gap in case you don't want to see it, as it could be considered a sort of mechanical/lore spoiler: Knox Infection has some clear signs, once you know what to look for. Within the lore of the game, infected people become paranoid and anxious, and then sick. So if you are Queasy, Hot and Nervous, odds are you have been infected. Each of those individually are not an inherent death sentence. As you can get Queasy from being around corpses. Hot from wearing too many layers and doing heavy activity. And Nervous from being a smoker who hasn't had a smoke in a while. But the three together are the trifecta of doom.

@CodedGaming19 күн бұрын
i'm pretty sure you two are infected with the knox virus btw, the constant health drain, uncomfortably hot, queasy, in pain, and anxious, that combination of traits tend to means your time is almost up cause your gonna die. Your settings are default which means you have a chance of infection from all forms of zombie attack scratches (7%) lacerations (25%) and bites (100%), if you change it to saliva only then only bites can infect you. I think it takes 3-4 days by default for you to die from it, during that time it reeks havoc on your system and causes several moodles until you succumb to it.
