Gen 1 sleep feels like it has no limit because the limit is SEVEN. Add in the wake up turn allowing no attacks, and Gen 1 sleep effectively lasts 8 turns. There's a reason why it's so potent in this gen.

If anybody is confused about Rage missing a bunch in a row (around 3:40), Rage in Gen 1 has a glitch where missing due to accuracy/evasion changes (I'm not 100% sure about the circumstances of this due to the 1/256 glitch) results in your accuracy effectively being 1/256 for the rest of the Rage duration. If you thought Rage was bad before, bugs for it made it even worse. Especially if your battery is low and you're hoping your Charmeleon will hit just once to put down an Abra (after getting a hit on Pidgeotto to make it faint). Couldn't have been me. No way.

The Sand Attack thing was acutally a glitch with the move rage. For some reason, if rage misses due to an inaccuracy drop, the move will only have a 1/256 chance to hit. Weirdly enough, Gen 1 misses do not trigger this glitch

Here is an idea “Can I beat Pokemon Red with only ‘Blast Boom Destruct and Bomb’ like Moves! If you start with Voltorb you get Sonic Boom at level 17 making it possible from the start of the game. Plus in Gen 1 it hits Ghosts for some reason. It would be funny and stupid and interesting! Would love to see a video of it. Moves you could use: Explosion, Self Destruct, Fire Blast, Egg Bomb, Sonic Boom, Spike Cannon, Pin Missile, and Smoke Screen. Every Gen 1 move related to explosions!

Couple things about the endgame: 1. In Yellow, Bruno's Hitmonchan knows Double Team, and used it before your second Dig could've connected. 2. The Champ's Exeggutor was locked in on Leech Seed because "Grass-type Move beats Ground-type Pokemon".

I seem to remember from a Pikasprey challenge that Emerald Truant flat takes away every other turn, instead of "the next turn you try something after you use a move" like in modern Pokemon, so you can get things like "put to sleep, wake up but it's a Truant turn so you don't move, etc." I wish you luck, man.

If you'd like some run suggestions for Yellow you could always try a Flareon run; it's my favorite Pokemon. Also the Yellow Sprite is probably my favorite rendition of Flareon... Well, the front sprite it. I try not to think about the back sprite. Of, if you want a good front sprite a Gold/Silver run could be cool too

From what I remember about Gen 1’s weird code there is a glitch with Rage that causes it to miss every time if the first one misses. Though oddly enough the 256 glitch reverses that glitch, so if Rage misses turn one then all following Rages have only a 1/256 chance of actually hitting.

Sleep is limited to 7 turns. There should be a 1/4 chance of waking on the first turn and 1/8 chance of waking in any of the 2-7 turns. In reality, the RNG is weird. There is a section about it in bug yellow video of updates in OU meta, it reference to a research done about it but I didn't read it or recall the name of the author.

18:54 - You're thinking of Haze. Mist is the one that guards against stat drops. You likely mixed up their effects because, for some reason, this is the only generation in the entire series where Vespeon can learn Mist in any way shape or form. Whereas it's had Haze as a level up move in every single game. It's weird because Mist may be an Ice move but another of the moves it's had in every game is Aurora Beam. Apparently there was also a glitch in Yellow version that prevented players from learning the move unless they put a Vaporeon in the daycare because you couldn't learn 2 moves upon leveling up.

I have an idea for a fun challenge, One that means you could even use Drowzee. Can you beat Pokemon Black (Or any game from gen's 5 ,6 or 7) with only the move Assist? Purrloin learns Assist at level 6 so it'd be the starter, Then if you get a male Purrloin you can breed it with other's to get more Pokemon. I think this would be a great wacky challenge since the more Pokemon on your team the more random the move is. For any that don't know Assist uses a random move known by any of the user's party Pokémon, With some exceptions. So even Pokemon that can't use Assist would still be useful if they have good moves that Assist can use. Drowzee is in the Human-Like Egg Group so If you want one with Assist you'd need a Spinda since they're in the Field and Human-Like Egg Groups so can breed with Purrloin and Drowzee. You could also use a Chimchar as a starter if you give it Assist as an Egg Move, They're also in the Field and Human-Like Egg Groups so a male one can breed the move into any Pokemon with Assist.
