This was really helpful, but I need help! I launched OoT and I made it fullscreen, and then closed the game. I did this a couple times, but the 3rd time I did it when I closed the game my right monitor (the screen the game was on) is now stuck with a really high brightness or gamma, and I don't know why or how to fix it. Any help from anyone here would be much appreciated!

This emulator is no longer usable. You will have to look elsewhere. It's been found that ALL versions of this emulator have malware in it that runs very deep. So deep that someone can take control of your computer. Look it up it's actually a real shame.

@@clintongranger2311 Mupen64 is really good if you understood the settings in P64 but if you want something a little more mainstream you can always give Retroarch a try. It was found recently that there is a way to inject coding through rom hacks that's completely undetectable on P64. The emulator is dead from now on. People are going to try to take advantage of this so we have to move away from it :'(

@UrCasualGamer it's awesome that you're doing that. Some emulators I've tried since buying a mini pc don't always work right, which you even note if your pc isn't built for that don't do it. But some emulators are preferred over others, I was trying to stay away from retroarch on pc since I got a handheld for that, and this was a great choice. As always, much appreciated and great work. 💪🏼

This emulator no longer works. Ive installed it. Upon launching a game, immediately crashes. Reinstalled it, same thing happens. Restarted PC and reinstalled it. Worked for a second, then started crashing again non stop. Can't even enter settings menu without crashing. 😢

Emulator terbaru dari project64 justru makin cacad!!! 1 kesalahan besar adalah soal pengaturan layar yg tidak bisa 16:9 widescreen. Justru versi terdahulu 1.6 malah lebih baik bisa melakukan widescreen hack dengan lebih sempurna.

I wouldn’t recommend project 64, I don’t know if you have heard about this but apparently there is a vulnerability bug that gets your computer hacked, and that it contains optional malware, I would recommend Rosalie’s mupen GUI or parallel launcher over project 64

Why is it, that no matter how many N64 emulators i try, i cannot get a single one to work? I can run PSXE all day long, with no issues, but not much lower N64 games. My laptop is a lower grade thing, but it's far more powerful than a 1996 console. Half of the N64 emulators won't even start up, and the other half close themselves upon loading a game.

If you have a handheld PC (Rog ally etc)without a keyboard, full screen mode effectively soft locks the entire system. They need a better key binding setup. I shouldn't have to shut down my entire PC just to exit a game.

The only problem with using an Xbox or PS controller is that the N64 has more buttons so you will be always a map short

nop, still going on, Kaze Emanuar (known for working a lot on Mario 64 hack roms) has just published a video about this, he says that this can even apply to roms that can be found online, you really have to be careful, regarding the emulator just switch to Parrallel Launcher, it works too.

Yo bro I have to be real with you that's the best Nintendo 64 emulator to ever exist it plays basically the entire Nintendo 64 library of games perfectly minus a few but if you're trying to get Pokemon puzzle league in resident evil 2 to play perfectly just go to default settings and then boot it up again in the cutscenes should play nice
