Sukhumvit in Bangkok is one of the most visited areas of the city along with Khaosan Road! Check out this video to see why you should be staying in Sukhumvit on your next trip to Thailand
Soi 4: Mix of Nana plaza adult entertainment and Hillary live music bars that everyone can enjoy. Pool bars, irish bars and even ladyboy bars if thats your cup of tea
Soi 7: Mostly beer bars for the single man.. although there is a beer garden a little more down the road thats more chilled out
Soi 8: wide selection of places for everyone including an epic pizza place call Vasizio that I would highly recommend!
Soi 11: Beer bars, Gogo bars, Night clubs, Rooftop cars and Restaurants... an all around good street for nightlife
Soi 13: More chilled set back from the road although it does have a Hooters haha
Soi 21: World famous Soi Cowboy is here for all to see.. Seen in the movie the Hangover
Soi 22: Massage central!

The Landmark (5-Star) Hotel in Sukhumvit was great for my first few nights ever in Thailand. I'd never been to South East Asia, so it was the perfect first stop for me. I remember sitting in the restaurant looking out of the giant window, wondering if I would ever be brave enough to leave the premises! I was, and after 3 months of backpacking, I was happy to stay in the budget hotels around Khao San rd.

I literally just got back from Bangkok (I live in Shanghai) and we stayed in Sukhumvit at the Fusion Suites (location was almost bang-on @9:12). Very nice and, aside from some questionable electrical issues, was super convenient to reach the rest of the city by either bus, BTS, or the subway. Personally I love the old-school Hino buses.

I’m on the other side of the road from cowboy and it’s actually peaceful considering the madness around.. would be very difficult as a new comer to select the ideal location sometimes Bangkok Pat recommended booking only 2 nights for when you arrive in case you want to change and I think that’s an excellent idea 💡

For the most part it could be detrimental to my channel so have avoided making a video.. same with talking about the redlight areas here in the city. Some of the other lads who made videos got flagged for ad sustainability so I will leave the subject for another time. For the most part you can buy it anywhere on the street here legally.. as well as endless shops to buy and smoke in.. I honestly wouldn’t worry for a second about it.. it’s just like going out to buy a beer now

My favourite area I think but I haven't stayed in to many other areas of BKK yet except I stayed at Lebua State Tower the first time I came. I've stayed at the Park Plaza a few times which you can see at the beginning of the vlog. It's not the best hotel but I like the views of Benjakitti park from the lovely little rooftop pool. Go for a walk every morning around Benjakitti is a good way to start the day. Stayed at the Landmark Hotel a few times. Great area! Terminal 21 etc Insanity I watched Paul Oakenfold there once I was well pissed

Asok/Sukhumvit is the best place in bkk. It's got literally everything, great vid. Been going for years, normally stay sukhumvit 11 which has a new row of bars since covid (and Hillary). However, its cheaper to stay Ekkamai, and Tonglor is quite good but I still prefer sukhumvit

I lived in Bangkok from 1996 to 2000 and spent some time living on Sukhumvit 11 at what is now The Mercure hotel. Not sure it has changed for the better as it seems to have joined the ranks with the likes of Nana and soi Cowboy. Back then it had its own identity and was more known for Cheap Charlie's and the infamous Ambassador Hotel long past its sell by date unfortunately!!
