Just bought one of these vtx’s, checking out vids, and BAMM , blue falcon, again ,this guy made amazingly informative vids. He’s saved my ass, many times, and still is, RIP

cheap vtxs work well. i had one of these you were using myself and it did fine. but when it comes to flying with other Pilots, they will cause problems. not to yourself but to the other pilots. a friend of mine caused me to crash several times with his cheap china vtx. another friend of mine using tramp did not disturb me at all. even when he was plugging in right next to me while i was flying. that's the only thing to be aware of with these vtxs...

The one you burned is a very good vtx and easy to use. My best vtx so far.

Yea I had no complaints with that one at all

I would recommend to install heatsink on top of transmitter, could lower temperature

JC, do you have any vids on the VTXs with audio that can control the VTX channels, or whatever it is?
@pauleverettguitar15686 жыл бұрын
Hey do you fly with audio ? Just wondering if ppl fly like that or just video. Thinking it might be better to hear the motors
@sklobi7 жыл бұрын
Hello there sir, I've got a question for you... I got my new kk 90gt today in mail, flew a few packs and now 1 motor won't spin up. It moves fine. Didn't crash. Landed safely. Only thing I did was plug it into my computer, with betaflight open, it auto connected, but my laptop died. Didn't touch any settings. Tried updating to 3.1.7 after I noticed motor not working. Tried calibrating ESCs again to no avail. It's like there's no power out of nowhere to the motor. Connections seem ok... it's possible they're not... any kind of troubleshooting I can do?? Nothing should be wrong with this thing.

Hey JC i recently fried a vtx, i pluged the power (10V) to the 5v output, i know i'm stupid but too eager to fly. It worked less than 30s and then no more video nor leds. But it still warm up when powered (correctly this time). Do you think there is any chance of reviving it or i have to throw it ?
@yksikaksikolmen7 жыл бұрын
I have the one with the led. I think the led is the only differnt ? I got a problem after a hard landning, but not so hard. Now i get realy bad lines when throttle. All grounds seems to be ok. Worked very good before. Is there any filter in the VTX than can have broked ?

On your little instructions channel paper, why do they only display 5 dip switches? What about the 6th one?
@PowerScissor7 жыл бұрын
Is there a switch to turn it on & off? So it doesn't burn out on the bench if you're working on other stuff.

I ordered the TS5828L that has an LCD and is switchable 25mW or 600 mW
@userman4446 жыл бұрын
Only here I found the difference between Item Name: TS5828 and L version . Thanks!
@jsinfpv57837 жыл бұрын
I use the 5828 from Myrcmart pretty much the same thing but it has a button to switch band and channel like the eachine. They also have another that is similiar but it has power out for camera and switchable mw, the only down side of this one is the mw output switch is junk so set it and forget it.

Is there a good difference between this and some expensive transmitters like 600mw tramp?
@ProjectBlueFalcon7 жыл бұрын
Yea. Generally the more expensive they are the more features they have and better performance. Some filter the video on their own without a separate LC filter. Some have buttons to change bands and frequencies. Others have a 5v regulator built in. Other have heat sinks. And in the tramps case it has smart audio allowing you to change bands and frequencies through a OSD.
@Skirmitch7 жыл бұрын
also, its good to add that a good quality one won't change its transmitting power through the spectrum and will output 600 everywhere, no matter the frequency

I've this as well. My model is the TS5828S. Don't know what the s stands for at the end though.. can't complain. It does the job and it's cheap.

Eddie FPV maybe and LCD display for switching channels? I have the L version that has LCD and is switchable 25mW to 600mw

this is what i use on my quads. my plane on the other hand (Skywalker 1680) got totaled due to this vtx overheating and shutting off :( so i went to the ts832(even cheaper) but its huge... but fine for a big plane but sense its big and same power(600mw) it doesnt get too hot.

@MrSmith3367 жыл бұрын
Yeah, we had great test equipment, HP signal and freq generators, Tektronics o-scopes and spec-analyzers. Fluke and Simpson multimeters. But that was another lifetime. Now I mostly just use a Fluke since it's medical electronics I now service. There are some other pieces of specialized test equipment I use too, but my passion was always RF comms.

what is the range of the transmitter?
@JoniTse7 жыл бұрын
First off, thanks for the great video as always. Very informative and well done. I really think something should be considered behind the waste aspect of buying these. Yes while it's easy to replace because they're cheap, there is an additional cost to consumption. I'm sure making and disposing of these electronics isn't the most friendly on the environment. Maybe these are great for the first time builder who may not want to get too deep into the hobby yet....but for enthusiasts we should think of the extra quality that comes with products that's are more expensive.

@gerbenposthumus88786 жыл бұрын
Don't buy the TS5828 because it overheads , first it goes dancing from channel to channel and than after that you will loos completely your fpv transmission. Ps a 200 mw all in one fpv camera has a better range than this TS8528 receiver I know this because i had this transmitter and it is crab.
