Hey J.C. im need some help in finding out what these two little frets or fets are on the vortex 250 pro pdb there really tiny and cant seem to see the numbers. one is the L1 and the other is right below it. I figured to try and repair since the new board is anywhere from 40 to 50 dollars. I know your in school for this kind of thing so figured it wouldnt hurt to ask you where I could get those if possible? Your help is very appreciated. Thank you
@rolandburrows48597 жыл бұрын
Many thanks for this video. I understand fully this stuff now. I borrowed yours but as a noob set my rc rate to 50 while learning. The question I have is how does what affect the PIDS? I heard it impacts pitch more than any other. Does that mean it causes the value to increase? I am flying without a gopro or runcam but will probably do so at some point.

Is it better to set the rates and expo on the quad, or on the TX? I usually just adjust the maximums I want on the quad, and then tone things down if needed with the rates and expo settings for the model in the taranis.

Iam new to quads. Although i fly good i still struggle with flips and rolls. I like ur tutorial. May i ask i now fly in 3 profiles. I use Rc rate 1.00 for all and .80 for super rates. Actually this should flip and roll sowely ??? I dont like fast flips. Iam flying micros. Can u suggest rates for slow flips and rolls?
@chrismichaels52167 жыл бұрын
JC - I run rc rate at 1.0, super at .83 with .35 expo on pitch/roll and .25 yaw. I get approx 1200 deg/s - what advantages are there with lowering rc rate like your setup.
@Coreycry7 жыл бұрын
He explained that it keeps a lower sensitivity for delicate movements. (middle of the stick) Super rate is like a turbo that kicks in when your stick is near the end of the course. By the way, it behaves kinda like an "expo" and I've read many times that expo in Betaflight should not be touched anymore.
@ProjectBlueFalcon7 жыл бұрын
I personally prefer lowering the RC rate just to make it more controllable in the center of the sticks because I'm a thumber. Pinchers have more precision so it might not help as much.
@chrismichaels52167 жыл бұрын
Project Blue Falcon I agree, as a Thumber, I like it softer in the middle, my curve looks close you yours with the only real difference being your effective end degrees/s looked like it was 900. For Coreycry, yes, i have a similar setup so it is softer in the middle, the question was we both have it softer in the middle with two different setups and is there a mathematical or programming advantage of one over the other. Please post the links you have 'read' that state that.

Oh what a crash... full throttle upside down 🙄 Any damages on the HD cam ?? Thanks for your tuto though ! It helps. It is funny to see you fly rates 0.5 when I set 1.4 lol (certainely cause I am a pincher)
@ProjectBlueFalcon7 жыл бұрын
Nah no damage. I hit a rock and it snapped the 3D printed camera mount off and I kept on flying. Landed and noticed the camera was gone. Yea I wish I could pinch. I have to tone everything down to keep it smooth and stable.
@dagfpv1777 жыл бұрын
Project Blue Falcon I can give you my advice as I couln't pinch either before and I learnt using DRL simulator. I suggest you spend few hours on simulator to get used to that different way of flying. Honestly I cannot use my thumbs any more 😀 (be aware some people will not appreciate depending on their hands morphology) Happy flying ! and thanks for your share

I have a bigger quadcopter which I intend to use for a bit of filming, how can I effectively adjust the PIDs there? (in angle/Horizon, i can't fly this thing in Acro) All tutorials I found are about racecopters with FPV, mine has no FPV Maybe anyone has any tips, thanks
@josh25fpv97 жыл бұрын
Tobimai as far as my understanding of pids goes, they only apply to acro, you can set your maximum angle for angle mode that's about it really
@ProjectBlueFalcon7 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure if you can tune the PIDs for angle and horizon. I've never tried. It would be nearly impossible anyway because the flight controller has just as much control as you do instead of giving you full control. One thing you can do is go to the PID tab in Betaflight, click "show all PIDs" at the top right of the screen in a yellow box, then angle and horizon you can set the strength and transition.

So when i hit full yaw is it normal for my qaud to gain altitud? does yours do that ? it revs up really fast at 0 throttle when i hit full yaw to do a 360. so it's like to hard to do a inverted 360

So throttle mid is the value of throttle at mid stick?
@ProjectBlueFalcon7 жыл бұрын
Throttle mid is where you want the middle of the expo to be. Say you get the mid to .3, then put something in for the expo like .3. Then you'll notice the lines bend on the graph and the center would be at 30%
