I remember playing this game incessantly after its release at one of my local arcades (Cyberbots too!). That summer before my freshman year in HS is one I'll treasure forever... This actually got me interested in the Tengai Makyou series. Shame I never got to play any of them. Maybe I should finally take the plunge...

Hi Jarrod, I love Kabuki Klash. This quirky little title constantly puts a smile on my face. Its fun to play and I love the cute humor that goes with it! As always, I posted this on, "The Official NEO-GEO Thread" for you. +Project COE For sure. Alas, I will never buy a neo geo though. Unless the game is on CD i probably wont play it. May end up buying one of those ngcd consoles in the future. I got the urge to play cross swords 2 (legit) after seeing your mvs vid a while back. I always hold back on emulating stuff in case i ever end up buying the original hardware for the chosen game

I know the feeling. Purchasing any official Neo Geo product is insanely expensive. It sucks too because there are so many excellent games out there.
@mortalporcupine27849 жыл бұрын
+Project COE I get why it cost more than everything else back in the day but i dont understand why the games cost so much more than other systems games today. Even the common cartrides for it cost more than many rare games on other systems, the neo geo games themselves dont have a massive variety of choice compared to say a SNES or a PS1. Sure, the system is superior to a SNES but its not superior to a dreamcast for instance. It confuses the hell out of me lol

Personally I think it's all about supply and demand. Some of these games have 20 copies total, and if there are 2,000 people who want one of those 20 copies, that explains why they fetch insane prices. Some aren't quite some limited, but even if there are 500 copies out there and 10,000 people want one, that is still enough to cause insane prices. Really successful games like Samurai Shodown 2 can be had for cheap, but once copies started getting extremely limited releases, the prices are through the roof. On the Dreamcast, even a single run likely had 10,000 units, whereas most Neo releases are far under that.

Love this game! 100% correct on the unbalanced gameplay & cheap-ass bosses. But them graphics are mighty pretty! Awesome!
@ProjectCOE9 жыл бұрын
+snkneogeoman Yeah I feel a little more time in the oven could have made this a true gem. It's all good though as it remains super fun to play. I really wish there would have been a sequel to this one. There was a lot of potential here.
