Projections | Sony a6700 Cinematic | Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8

An improvised Sony a6700 cinematic shot with Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8. We tried to create a short film that portrays how an overload of audiovisual media can impact the way we perceive the world. Mostly shot in SLOG3 (a few in Cine4) and all handheld in 4K 24fps with some post video stabilization in Premiere Pro.

Thanks! Most movies in the film era where shot on super 35 sensors (similar to aps-c). So aps-c is definitely good enough in many scenarios.

Thanks! it's just the plain camera. I do often use the neck strap to create some tension and an extra point of contact for stability.

The videos shot with the A6700 are so attractive. Especially, all the videos are very well organized. This feeling may have been taken well in the timing, but is there a physical way like a lens filter? Or is it done later?

Thank you! I only use an Urth 2-32 VND filter to control the light hitting the sensor. But no filter is being used for aesthetic purpose. The final look comes mainly from shooting in SLOG3 and grading it with 'Neutral' Phantom Lut.

@@KaspervanDijk I was curious about these Phantom Luts and I'm a little bit of a beginner to LUTs, but do you use the 'A7s3' versions or 'pre-A7s3' from Joel's Phantom Luts? neither of them list a6700. Thank you in advance!

On Joel's Phantom website he lists the a6700 with the FX6 Luts. "Fx6 LUTs: A7r5, A9, Fx30, A1, A6700". Personally I use the a7S3 legacy lut, because it renders the skintones a bit more magenta-ish and the fx6 lut a bit more yellow-ish. I often use a ND-filter with a slight greenish tint, so I think the a7s3 lut compensates that a bit. That said if your white balance is correct it's probably wise to follow Joel's recommendation and use the FX6 Lut (for a6700 footage) that's part of the a7s3 Luts. @@AaronShoots407

Sure. It's a relatively small and light set-up, so it will probably work on most gimbals.
