Great video and awesome shots! More A6700 vids please😅I actually upgraded from the a6600 to the a6700, and I don`t regret it for a second. The a6600 is a great camera, but the a6700 feels like a big step up and it made me decide to stick with aps-c over going fullframe.

I really like the pov street photography! It's cool to see the thought process behind your pics. Are you always shooting in continuous mode rather than single shot?
@andrisstanga59389 ай бұрын
I really think that's the best standard zoom available for ATSC. Having the benefit of IBIS on the 6700 makes that a sick combo compared with putting it on the 6400 which is my daily... Maybe when 6700s begin to appear on MPB... Having said that, I think I would worry about the flip screen when shooting from the hip, while the tilt screen on the 6400 feels more robust for that position. On the other hand, if I was vlogging the 6700 flip screen would be far more friendly than the flip up screen on the 6400. Swings and roundabouts... Love the shadow work in the selection of photos this time.

Quality POV, commentary, and pics, Curtis. Tower bridge reflection and guy on bench my favs. Thing about auto-iso that can be annoying, IMO, is that you don’t get to see the ISO the camera selects until shutter half-press. At that point it could be too late to change back to user-selected ISO for a better value. Agree? Haven’t tested this yet, but wonder what will take priority when target is set to “human” and the scene has both human form statue and real person. Cheers!

Just curious, what do you do with all these photos? This is a question for all the street photographers, I mean you must have thousands and thousands of shots, do you just keep collecting and then once in a while going through them? When I go on vacations, I keep and collect all the photos I snap as memories which I like to look at over the years, but just random street photography, of strangers and architecture? I always wondered.

is it ever scary or uncomfortable to take pictures of people that know your taking pictures of them without their consent ?
@CurtisPadley9 ай бұрын
Absolutely, it's taken a lot of practice to get to a point where I have the confidence to take photos of strangers in public. Working on people skills help and I've found a lot of people don't really care or notice. The ones who do are usually Intrested once I explain, they find it interesting and don't mind at all. There is a minority of people who don't like it and in those cases I will just delete the photo and that clears things up.

I totally get you, I don’t do street photography but this one time at disney world i saw this moment with a toddler and a disney character coming out of the blue to say hi and I felt really nervous but wanted to capture that, i did trying for them not to notice just in case, and then i went to her mom and showed her the picture, offer to send it to her and she was thrilled. I transfer it to my phone and airdrop it to her that way is not like i need to ask for her contact. It was a really nice experience in the end

Would you (or anyone with the camera) recommend for a “beginner” (I have some experience through school class but have never owned an actual camera myself) I’m between the fence on a 6400 with a better lense or a 6700 and sticking with the kit lense for like 6 months and then upgrade
@GuitarRJP9 ай бұрын
Either way you could be okay, and everyone will have opinions. I can tell you for APS-C cameras you will find that you need some F1.4 and 1.8 lenses for low light. There are a lot of good ones from Sony, Sigma, and Viltrox. You didn't mention whether you are doing video or photo or both, but I will give you my thoughts. We all know that the kit lens aren't that great, but they provide a wide range and a learning opportunity! I would go for the A6700 (not the A6400, do the A6600 for the IBIS at the very least) and the kit lens. They use it! Go out and shoot photos, videos, etc. and then look at your images or videos and see ----- where did you shoot? Do you like wide shots, telephoto shots, or something in the 30-35mm range? What about video? Anything different? Once you see where "most" of you work is coming in at, you can then plan the purchase of your next (better) lens!
