Bless you all. My love to youngs. Be good, be proud, be yourself. Do good. I am with you. (A Friend of Kamehameha!) - श्री कृष्ण 😊💐

I went town yesterday and saw my good friend Joe Nihau. His brother John just died, and I'll never see his tabi prints on Hilo sidewalks again: his brother Phillip is in the hospital, and Joe is in his 70's... I used to sit with Joe every morning in Lincoln Park, studying The Bible, learning guitar from him; and greeting everyone who came as they woke up to begin they're days... Hawaii is gone already... My old friends are dead, the aloha is gone, nobody camps on the beaches; and the few Hawaiians left in my life have hard faces from spending years in mainland prisons. The soft humble smiles and the Aloha Spirit of smiling toothless people in slippers that made Hilo so beautiful and peaceful once upon a time... have given way to a world that my friends couldn't survive in; and I'm left here alone, without all my Hawaiian friends... I left Hilo a few years ago when they tore down the last Filipino camp and my home of 18 years, to hide out in what used to be "the country:" away from the parks where we used to read The Bible all day and play music together; because those people and that life are gone forever. Now my new neighbors move in and kill everything that is Hawaiian from their land. They kill every Ohia and plant invasive trees and shrubs from the mainland, so that they can pretend they're still in California. They're looking forward to a day when you can see the beach from the volcano, when all the Ohias are extinct; and every piece of land has an ocean view. They bring in cops from California too, they closed the back roads that made our journeys shorter so that we're forced to go the long way through gauntlets of police officers armed with quotas for fines and court dates who avoid bothering tourists. They fenced our parks and right of ways, and changed our laws; so that Hawaiians who died in the last 50 years would hardly recognize the place. I'm still in Hawaii-nei, but Hawaii is gone~ Kuleana, Akua bless your work. If something doesn't change really soon, we'll loose everything that Hawaii used to be. Malama Aina, Aloha Aina, Hawaiians are our kuleana.

I am proud to have been born and raised in Hilo, Hawai'i, and to come from a state that that is absolutely beautiful and has good music, I'm glad these videos are here!!! Great Hawaiian music. Even though I live on the mainland now, I do miss my home, last time I was in Hilo was in 2007

We need to stand up against the cancer that is destroying Hawaii and the abundant life on it... "Capitalism", ie a Conservative Construct that is specifically designed to divide and consume, kill and destroy all life... As it consumes America, so it seeks of Hawaii....

Kia ora ProjectKULEANA. I enjoy listening to all the Hawaiian music and getting to learn the lyrics to your songs. I am a New Zealand Maori as is my husband George, We love listening to all the songs before we go to sleep. I would like to know if I could possibly get the lyrics to "Where are the brothers". This is one song that really means a lot to me which I can't explain but just feel it. As for all the other songs, we feel the aroha in the words. Blessing to you all. Arohanui. Na Rauhi Pearson.

Having been to Hawai'i every year for decades I love the islands like they were my own home -and I understand they are not my home. However, my heart saddens when I listen to the songs of separatism instead of songs of unity. There are so many reasons to be United. So many. The islands already gave us a great president. We love you Hawai'i.
