I'm imagining this corrupt police's kid who has their own sense of justice and are sick of their parent's wrongdoings, so they hatched some kind of protest or worse, vendetta along with other people against the authority their parent belongs to. It ends up with the authority finishing them off as the parent only now feels regret to what has happened.

Another absolute masterpiece from Mili. I honestly wish that there were more music artists out there like her who focus all the aspects of their song to enhance the story being told. With every song there is a beautifully and tragically told story, and I really appreciate Mili for it. She's a real hidden gem and I'm glad she's getting the recognition she deserves from her involvement in Project Moon and others such as Ender Lilies and Vermeil in Gold

I like how it goes from “gunner in the rain” to “goner in the rain”. Those simple word plays can completely change the song in moment. Great song as always Mili! Also, is there an instrumental only version of this? The instrumental is legit.
