It's terrible how hard it can be to be a scientist with a social life, especially in the past and especially for women. There are many obstacles and you don't even know what to choose. I am convinced that Mileva would have made some incredible discoveries if she had not fallen in love with the wrong person or at least if she had no children. Social pressure greatly diminishes the potential of brilliant minds, but it is still important to have a happy life.
