What's REALLY cool to see in Haikyuu!! is when the other teams get a little more used to this "super quick" and start putting up blocks and actually trying to defend their court, and Hinata has to figure out new ways to get his spikes to land in. It's really cool to see how he can think fast in the air and control the ball better than just slamming it down wherever he wants. Honestly, his REAL "best spikes" happened later in the show, when they played against better teams with better blockers.

When Hinata is really deeply leaning into his sprint it's normally because he just faked 1 end of the court and is full sprinting to the opposite side of the net. He's got insane athletic ability and there are few people who can keep up with his speed and stamina but, he doesn't have high levels of skill as an individual so he mostly dodges the blocks by out pacing them on the ground as opposed to beating the blockers in air.

I love how out of context hinata seems like a good player in these videos when in reality he is pretty bad 😂 Edit : guys just stop it all ready i know he is getting better and i already said so in a previous reply hinata is one of if not my favorite characters he is a scoring machine but you have to understand he is inexperienced and only now he is starting to getter better at receives but especially in season 1 he was just an iron club as coach nekomata stated. He surely has potential but he still has a lot of work to do i mean his serves are TRASH his spikes are good and his receives are mediocre at best his blocking is average and his athleticism is off the charts.

@@jumpguyty yeah... he's definitely not that good (sorry Hinata) :D
@natsumiyukari1784 жыл бұрын
Although his stamina, speed and jumping are on "monster level", his abilities were very dependent on the setter(Kageyama). You'll know if you watch some of the first few episodes of the first season how their "freak quick" works. The coach of Nekoma(their school's no. 1 rival) described them as "demon" and "club". Hinata's eyes were closed, which means he doesn't take the initiative in their attack. But when he finally opens them, is when he becomes a true demon. His receives overall are "crappy". But he never gives up on a ball that hasn't fallen yet. Basically, he's a character with rank D technique, but has rank S potential. Also another thing to take note: Hinata is a ninja. He's a player who is loaded with surprises. By the end of the series, I don't even know what to call him anymore.
@A--lex4 жыл бұрын

Hinata is actually one of the best jumpers in the series. Since he's so short (about 164cm as of season 4) he has to rely a lot on his speed and jumps. His highest jumping point is measured to be 333cm but he's improved on his jumps since then

Im TOTALLY a fan of Haikyuu! I came across your video in my recommendation =) I highly recommend watching the show from the beginning. Its really that good. The author in Haikyuu was a volleyball player back then. Some thought their quick is impossible to do but no, you can definitely do that in real life, it was just a little exaggerated in the anime. @jc-tb6me4 жыл бұрын
@@araara8875 lol the comment said "powder their fingers and jump to touch the backboard". Based on that comment don't you think they might've used their hands instead of heads to measure? So basically Hinata's jumping ability, stamina, instinct, concentration and will power are all S+ , tho he is only 20% effective without Kageyama (setter), because all of the initiative is with Kageyama + Hinata's receive, game knowledge (he doesn't yet comprehend all of the factors involved in the game, player positions, strategy, effective blocking) is all D at beast C- , but as the seasons go he gets more and more in tune and eventually doesn't depend on Kageyama anymore to show his full potential. 10/10 anime you should watch it! P.S. that line you said "he's like a ninja" if you decide to read the manga you have no idea how right you are xDDDDD

This is a compilation of teams being hit with the monster quick, FOR THE FIRST TIME. That's the major reason for the "freeze" shown every time. Also, his best jumps, the ones when he's not being pulled around by his momentum, come much later. This story is originally a manga\comic, and the anime hasn't gotten to the point where Hinata figures out how to jump properly. This story is one of my favorites, so it would be awesome if those got analyzed, too, at some point! Thanks for the great reactions to Haikyuu!

Sir, does hinata has 50+ inches vertical jump??? We really wanna know....

At least!!!
@doni81744 жыл бұрын
no, his vertical is like 45 inches
@jaden-ling59984 жыл бұрын
Hinata has around 45 inches after 3 season and most likely have a around 52 inch vert after timeskip since he jumps a head taller
@doni81744 жыл бұрын
@@jaden-ling5998 he reachs higher, but he's also taller. His vert is like 50 inches, no much more
@jaden-ling59984 жыл бұрын
@@doni8174though I think its definitely higher since I’m 174cm and my standing reach is 224cm and my friend is 186 and his standing reach is higher than mine by 20cm, Thus when hinata reaches 333 at 164 might have a standing reach of 200-210 depending on arm extension making him at vert of around 48 inches and since after timeskip, he jumps a head higher which can be 20cm+, hence he reaches at least 353cm. When deducted by my standing reach, which is higher than hinata’s height of 171.4cm, is already higher than 50inches which is a underestimate.

The fact he said "wham" when describing hinatas jump is just too good to be true.

Do serves from Haikyuu

Serves huh...hmmm...
@Cyrixau4 жыл бұрын
@@jumpguyty Yeah serves would be a good one. This is probably the only compilation that would be hard to analyse for you since Hinata's quick is probably the only that isn't realistic in the anime (although not impossible to do). So any other haikyuu video would be so much easier for you to analyse.

for sure you have to check this! it's so enjoyable that in some point you get so immersed in the story you'll find yourself screaming at 3:00am every point in the game!

Haikyuu has a lot of symbolism used throughout the show. The glass bit is just an example of that. I highly recommend watching the whole thing!

As for Haikyuu, I gotta say one thing Ive learned after watching some real volleyball after is that they really did their research on volleyball before animating it. Every position has a lot of great things. The libero is on point with his slides and his "poses", the ace(wing spiker) has the same beautiful form while jumping and the team got some badass serves(both brute force smashes and jump floats). All in all, superb and so glad it introduced me to the sport! :D All that has to happen now is for the Swedish team to get some golds! ;)

This Anime is definitely not stupid. Not only athletics animations. Different teams, players and their psychology, motivations ,values. Last anime season was just goose bumps for me. Like in previous seasons Kōtarō Bokuto answers Kei Tsukishima question about motivations, how he trained, and then in real game saw the difference, and that was the moment he got hooked on volleyball and training hard. How effort and results disconnected by long spans of time connect for him at that moment. This is one of those amines that has insane depth towards characters, psychology and how it all comes together to form strong teams.

15:15 why that was big was because instead of jumping to block it straight up, he leans back to counter his spin with a spike of his own
@juansalas34564 жыл бұрын
The shadowy moments like the one where the glass is breaking is more like a mental break, normally happens when his team is on the losing side and then they have some sort of revelation that pushes his team forward. Happens usually during their big games against some of the top teams.

15:30 They had a rematch at a tournament with the same team they lost to. The spike that Hinata did at match point was blocked out, losing them the game. The glass shattering depicts how much he grew and that he overcame that same block.
