Thank you Dovoh for sending the laser for us to check out! It work exactly as advertised and the I really liked the included mount!

I like that my Huepar has the AA battery option. If the Li-Ion battery dies on the job a trip to any convenience store gets it up and running again. The downside is that the mounting bracket is basic, and doesn't have the micro-adjust features of the tripods or the Dovoh's bracket. Happy Easter!

A coworker has the Huepar and he’s very happy with it. He mentioned there’s three ways to power it as it’s strong point too. I was really impressed how all the levels worked as advertised. The receivers were a shock. I wish I’d gotten as many of those cloned models as possible because I wasn’t expecting the CIgman and Takamine to perform differently. Maybe we’ll do a receiver showdown. Thanks and Have a Great Easter!

Hi Thank you very much for your sharing. The receiver works on the principle of being able to receive the frequency of the laser light and produce the effect, and each brand of laser is inconsistent and emits a different frequency. If you use a different brand of laser level with the receiver, there will be a chance that it does not work. We recommend to use the same brand of laser level and receiver, so that the error can be avoided. Have a good day!

Hello Huepar! Thanks again for participating and sending down the laser and receiver. All three receivers were tested against all 5 lasers with the same result. I will retest on the next sunny day to confirm and post an amendment in the description if I get a different result. You do bring up an interesting point and maybe more testing is needed for different outdoor situations. Possible a good future video topic. Thanks again!

I purchased the CM701 some months ago and got a receiver/detector for it as well. I love it, especially for the price. It is within +/- 2mm at 25m. I now also have the CM701SE with receiver. The laser is identical except for some cosmetic differences. This one is a bit less accurate though, but still within the stated +/- 3mm at 10m. Interestingly, the laser beam is weaker is some directions than it is in others. Consequently, the receiver only works out to 20m to the left and right of the laser, from horizontal. From the front and rear windows, it easily works out to 50m. This applies to both lasers. It is disappointing, but I can work with it as long as I remember to orientate the laser in the direction that matters. This brightness variation seems to be unavoidable with all lasers with cone prisms.

Do the receivers only work with the horizontal plane, or also with the vertical planes (when held sideways)?

I purchased a couple of months back the Hilda 4 line. Haven't a clue when I will be able to put it to use but for 50 or 60 bucks it was something to add to my tool collection. USB C and standard 18650 batteries. Remote and a number of gizmos to work with. Solid unit.

There’s a lot of options for these levels and this definitely isn’t a definitive list. I found it very encouraging that all worked great. Thanks for watching!

I just ordered the Huepar S04CG yesterday to use during a kitchen cabinet install I'll be doing as soon as I get them all built. I think it's higher up in the line than the one you tested, but in reality, the guts are probably the same.

Dovoh advertises their product as having a brighter green light than the competition. I didn't hear you mention a difference and I didn't see a difference during your demos. Would you say all of these are fairly equal in that regard, or did one stand out over the other? I will be leveling out about a 24 ft wide area outdoors and was hoping to avoid needing to buy a sensor. Thanks!! - Shane

I found all to be visible outside at about 20 ft but pretty faint. Not sure if they’d be useable in very bright light. I just picked up an M12 cross line and was shocked how bright it is by comparison. I may do a vid to show the difference. Good luck Shane and thanks for watching!

There's really no bad choice here as all performed well. I did my best to show the different designs and features so you can pick the best laser for you. Top favorites for me personally were the Takamine for the battery design and soft touch buttons and Cigman based on it small size. Good luck and thanks for watching!

This was a wasted opportunity. Okay, so you compare features and mounts. Great. Where is the comparison of visibility? Outdoors? At a distance?? It's like buying a bunch of trucks, going into detail about the glove boxes and floor mats, and never actually testing how they drive.
