Just one correction, Gregory isn't Gottfried Leibnitz, he's James Gregory, a Scottish mathematician and astronomer who lived from 1638-1675. Not to take anything away from the Sulba Sutrani!! They are simply amazing, and deserve to be widely known and studied, just as we study the works of Newton, Gregory, Liebnitz etc.

correction : Vinci didn't discovered the blade chariot , it was invented by ajatashatru in 462 BCE, its called rathamusala , Ratha - chariot and musala - blade . you can see the evidence in inscriptions , 2nd you said that Vinci measured human body part using fingers , right ? that's not a new thing for india . While what Sulba Sutra describe is impressive, they frankly do not solve the problem because as it was expressed, it is unsolvable. The Greek philosophers also talk about good approximations but very clearly this problem is about being exact. And the Sulba Sutra are also not exact because that is impossible. You're doing great work bringing real knowledge of our civilization rather than jingoistic beliefs into larger public view.

I guess the reason why fire is started by grinding wood with wood is I guess written in vedas... Whereby the sun is considered the source of Agni and both are considered the sustainers of life... And its well known fact that the sun is the source of energy to the earth... Like light heat etc.... So Agni received via this method is considered that it has arrived from the Sooryadeva... I just now received a video on Diwali rituals stating that Agni/Deep is called Sooryaj meaning Son of Soorya....

Very interesting talk. I am somewhat curious on why this proportion of 13 1/3 to 15 was given. Simpler would have been to say divide the diameter by 9 and make a square of 8 lengths. This is exactly the same as the proportions given. To check, you may multiply 13 1/3 by 3 to obtain 40 and similarly multiply 15 by 3 to obtain 45. Also, you may try it yourself. a square of 8 units will have an area of 64 units and a circle with diameter of 9 units will have an area of 81*pi/4, i.e. 81*(22/28*), i.e. roughly 63 2/3 units.
