I been noticing some improvements on my gesture drawings. Quick question: How long does it usually take to notice improvements on your gesture drawings?
@ProkoTV Жыл бұрын
That's going to be different for everybody so it's really hard to give an estimate. The best practice is comparing your earliest gesture drawings to your newest and judging how you feel during the drawing. You'll find yourself identifying the longest axis more quickly and being able to get what you want from your pencil much more reliably. It's just a matter of sticking with it!
@emzzz4683 Жыл бұрын
Thank you for responding back! What you said is what I been doing so it shows that I’m definitely getting the hang of gesture drawing. I’m also studying shapes more and I’m wondering if you have any videos that combines shapes with gesture drawings? Also, do you have videos where you draw gesture drawings in perspective using shapes?

Thank you so much for this gesture recap video I have a problem with studying art whenever I feel like I’m getting better or my practice is going well I feel like I want to stop because I’m afraid I’ll mess up and get demotivated do you have advice on how to combat this?
@ProkoTV Жыл бұрын
This is a fairly common feeling! The progress that you make where you feel that you're getting better is real. Every new drawing is one step closer to where you aim to be. But learning is a process and we don't achieve it all at once. You'll make some better drawings that solve the issues you had in the past and sometimes, old problems will crop back up. I have issues with measuring incorrectly and other problems even now. The key is to keep working at it and not let one mistake stop you. You wouldn't stop at one really good drawing, so why stop at one really bad one? You've got this!

You can add one million details to a drawing of any style and it won't make it good. See Rob Liefeld. Drawing anime, fine illustration or even painting, and you still need a good basis to hang all those details on.
