Great comparison video sir. Had to be a great deal of driving, swapping tires and editing! Thank you. Those new tires that must not be pronounced really look like they want your knifes attention! Always great to see the difference some cutting makes. Thanks again, good stuff!

Agree! "The tires that shall not be pronounced" are better than expected...and might enjoy some weight loss!

Wonderful course you have there. Truly impressed with the traxxas tires 👍🍻

They really are good! It surprises me every time!

This was a great comparison!! I don't know if i would buy these, maybe i would if they make them in a softer compound. The test was closer than i thought between certain tires! Obviously, the TRX4 tire (in my opinion) did the best. Loved the bonus footage!
@RoadsideRC3 жыл бұрын
I agree, much closer than expected. Them is was the G8 compound. Not sure if they offer it in the Predator compound.

For the Louise / Duratrax the foam seems to be worn out
@RoadsideRC3 жыл бұрын
They are very soft for sure.

@@RoadsideRC I also have a pair of Louise with boom racing foams. Better than the original foams. I put Hyrax predator on my rig with crazy crawler wp magic foams. I need to wear them off a bit 🙂

Duratrax stock foams suffer from being super squishy after a few months of use

The Stock TRX4 tires were the big stand out to me. I'm curious how the "Tire that cannot be pronounced" would do in a very sandy terrain. Out here in NM it's all that's around me.
@RoadsideRC3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the feedback! I don't have a lot of sand around me. I would assume they might be OK!

The mods you did to the truck are really working great. Off topic-- did I see an LS in the Chevelle ?

That is an LS1 - great eye! I did the LS + T56 swap.

You should have done the video one set of tires at a time through the whole course then switched
@RoadsideRC3 жыл бұрын
I found it hard to compare visually in the video that way. Of course, that is how I actually did it, but when trying to show folks the difference, I thought the back-to-back on an obstacle was better.

I'm always down to try new tires but I can't believe that about the knock-off hyraxes they are what I use on my gen8 and they're awesome I have convinced about six friends into buying them to EXO cage RC did a review between the knockoff and the real thing from Pro-Line on a slope comparison on a wet board and a dry board the results were pretty much the same the cheap Amazon Tire knockoffs wearing out quicker
@RoadsideRC3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, those tires did really well when brand new...but the performance disappeared VERY QUICKLY! At least that has been my experience.
@jebrc3 жыл бұрын
@@RoadsideRC there are a few different types of them on amazon and the compounds seem to be different so.e have writing on the sidewall and some dont I run the ones with none on them and they have performed flawlessly over the past 6-7 months next to no wear at all and I run mainly rocks but some logs and wood here and there. I have a buddy that has the ones with writing and they seem to have worn alot more then mine and seem a bit stiffer then mine there are austar injora and hobbymate I believe
