Such memories from 1969-1972, I loved playing b-flat clarinet in concert band. Four years later with a B.S. degree in Music Education and really wanted to follow in the footsteps of Mr. Charles Frank, but the opportunity never presented itself. Thanks Elmer, for this website! I performed this outstanding work as a member of an honors band in Michigan in 1970. I have long search for the composer and also a performance of Prologue, and just today found both. Great performance!!! Thanks for sharing this with me.

Do know that Edgar Warren Williams Jr. was only 19 when he wrote it. Sad that he is not a renowned top-notch composer as he could be remembered.

Like Gary, I played this in High School: Lake Worth High School, Lake Worth, FL 1975 for State Contest. This piece made me get serious about learning and playing timpani. I ultimately went on to make Florida All-State on timpani. I loved hearing it again.
