My question is how do I clean the latch and oil it? I’ve tried mass airflow sensor cleaner and multiple water based oils and silicone based oils and it gets so gunky and I can’t get it cleaned out. Some fresh oil helps it for a little bit but after a single day it’s gunky and rough again. The problem is I can’t open the door from the outside when it’s cruddy, only the inside.

its been better lately, not sure why. still stuck sometimes. i believe i sprayed brake cleaner in there even though they say it eats thru materials. whatever, seems like the only way to clean it. im just spraying anything and everything in there

I appreciate this channel especially as a promaster dual sport camper. I have found pushing inward in the last few inches helps too.

@@DualsportDisport 2 old dr 350s. radiator, clock spring. Put a Russian 40mm. Lift over front struts. It's kinda cheap, but ok.

I have same problem. I'm helping to latch it by pushing the door left side. Also I have lubricated all the rollers, door sliding channels and door latches and cables with silicone garage door lubricant. Now it works much better. .

I swear these vans shouldn't be street legal. Mine won't even kick off the cruise control when I hit the brakes. Thanks for the video man

When you did your van build You may have covered up the two vent releases that are there for this reason. They are toward the rear of the van behind the wheel well up against the wall

There are two vents on either side at the very back of the van that are supposed to open to release pressure when you close the door. Are yours blocked?

I actually have 2 more vents I installed on the back if you look closely and no they don't even make a difference at all. Way too much air volume. Thanks for watching

Congrats on the purchase. Is that a empty cargo shell? I don't really remember getting that much wind noise but I know after cutting my vent fan in the roof I get a lot from that. Hope that helps

Promasters are notorious for wind whistling through the front windows. Driver, passenger or both. I want to try rain deflectors, but I'm afraid it will make ot worse. 2019 PM 2500

I came to the same conclusion as you. I'm gonna add a 25cm2 vent within the sliding door and see whether it changes something or not. I have also 2 vents at the back (stock parts) but blocked by interior wood covering, so have no effect

Yea I installed vent at the rear and it wasn't enough. If my overhead vent fan is on then it will close easier. Windows down is the makes it super easy. Thanks for watching good luck on venting

I have the front door wide open and we still have to slam it. From inside we have to shift everything around spin the seats climb over every night to attempt to close the slider to be able to lock the doors from the inside when camping. Without the front door wide open and someone slamming from the outside we can’t close it. I guess this wasn’t the adjustment I was looking for haha.
