Is it possible to keep from doubling the height of your flash, when switching from landscape to portrait?

Can this be utilized on a tripod and switch the camera from portrait to landscape?

Yes, you can attach vertical portion L-bracket on its base plate to allow switching the camera from portrait to landscape orientation.

One of my lenses I often shoot with a Sigma 105 Art lens on my Nikon z7ii - it is really wide, will it clear the arm?

There will be enough room for your Sigma art lens. We've tested it before and it works with BBGv2 flash bracket

I've tried all kinds of brackets including the Custom Brackets CB RF-PRO and the same problem with all of them....at some point the bottom plate that attaches to the camera will loosen and the camera will start to turn. How is this any different? I shoot with a Sony a9 and battery grip. Does it have a custom plate for the battery grip too?

Hi Roger, the plate comes with a universal PBX3 bracket plate but you can select a custom designed plate for your Sony A9 to prevent it from twisting. You may also watch this video for the Sony A9 accessories and bracket plates, kzbin.info/www/bejne/jWq9cpSZq65rjsk

I think i know the answer but why is the flash so high from the camera? Can it not be made more compact? I just see issues with the flash getting in the way of other press photographers. Looks nice and solid though which is better than what i have seen from similar devices.

30d? lol. how old is this video? (i love a gimmick, btw, but man, thats a ton of extra weight just to put the flash right above the lens. If it were intended to get the flash further away from the camera, or actually to the side making it more like an off camera flash look without carrying around a lightstand, that would be a cool idea. I'm guessing this business is no longer selling these.) cool idea, though.
