The ATG's flash bracket is sold under many brands. The sad news = no longer available.

I have this bracket. it's awesome and yes you can use it with a grip, but it will depend on the overall size of the camera and grip. i run a Nikon d780 with grip. plenty of room. the grip also gives a rear door access port to battery, so it doesn't cause issue blocking battery door.

@sillyrabbit78 awesome, I still have not had an occasion to use it 😜

I own the Custom Bracket lol. I use it for weddings and it works very well.

I know it is a two-year old video, but you can double up the sync cable and wrap it up around the bottom of the flash.

I got the custom bracket rf pro it looks less bulkier than this and u can fold it down flat when not using for storage space

Also the custom bracket rf-pro works with battery grip and let’s u use your acra Swiss plates for mounting the camera then there’s a hole to mount the bracket on a tripod Aswell if u get the arca swiss version

If you didn't want the hassle with the leads you could also use the YN flashgun on Manual and use the controller to adjust the flash output. I find with Canon that using TTL it always seems to underexpose the shot. If I use TTL I always have to use flash adjustment to +1 to get a bright enough photo. So I put the flash on Manual Mode and 1/4 power, take a photo, check the histogram and adjust flash output as required.

The two screws on the side appear to be adjustable. It seems to me that you can raise that "arm" just enough to fit a battery grip?????

You are entirely correct! I might have to do a short follow up video on that feature, thanks 👍🏾

I purchased something very similar yesterday. Should be here tomorrow. I'm a bit concerned about the stability when the flash is mounted. Looks like a lot of play. I have a graduation and birthday party to shoot this week. Don't need this to fall apart on me!!

@@mbroadnax1 I know the feeling when you have a shot using untested equipment. I never got to use the vh100 because the fashion show got cancelled and I haven't needed it for anything since. Good luck.

Hey man,...good vid,...but you should be able to realign the camera body so that the battery door can be opened! Also,....the one that's $199,..Yeah, the Custom Brackets RF Pro flashbracket,...trust me, the $13 unit (no matter where you bought it) doesn't compare to the CB RF-Pro! Note, you may want to look into the Custom Bracket "CB-Jr". I've been using one for like,...10-12 years. As for the "Metering" issue,...it's not the "Wall". The wall area is 'over exposed' because it's closest to the Flash. What you have is a situation where you're in 'mixed' lighting,...that is, the area to the left of the wall,...the open space,...and the exterior lighting! So, what I think is actually happening is the the camera is set to Matrix Metering,....therefore, due to the mix lighting, the larger area is Under Exposed! Try setting the Metering to "Center Weight",....and then to Spot Metering,...especially since you're looking to get a reading in an area where outside lighting is coming in through large windows! I guarantee you'll get a different exposure for the large area,...especially if you Spot Metering,...which you should if the subject is highly "BackLit"! Props... Props on the vid...

Thanks for your input and in insightfulness. I totally agree with you, the cheap unit that I purchased was for a specific event. the event got cancelled due to COVID so I still have not used it. I do not need anything more expensive or advanced as I've never needed one and still don't need one in the type of photography I do on a regular basis. Believe me the flash output situation was as I described it. I only use spot metering, never matrix, and extremely rarely center weighed. I am 99% of the time in manual mode also. Thanks again for your professional insight.
