This was actually my favorite mall in Tulsa. It had a less posh vibe than Woodland Hills. R.I.P.

I used to work at this mall from 2007-2013 (I also owned a key to open and refill the game machine seen at 2:49 as another small job. It's sad to see this mall so empty, but thank you for letting me see it one last time. It holds a lot of memories for me (as this was my first job as a teen)

Tulsa really USED TO be a nice place to live.. as a kid growing up we had Woodland Hills mall , Promenade mall, southroads mall , Eastland mall , the forum Mall & short lived Kingsington Galleria … and not to mention Bells , Crystals Pizza , Casa Bonita …. Now all we have is the gathering place which is basically a park with a few good things in it . Sad to see the mall era going away .. but I’m glad I got to see it in its prime to enjoy it , I can almost pin point where stores used to be .

Cities are going downhill in general. We are witnessing the decline of Western civilization.

They are currently building a Outlet mall in Jenks

Woodland hills is still around, although all the escalators are broken and the AC is typically not working. All the stores are relevant and leased.

Brick and mortar stores are dying due to online shopping. Quite a stretch to claim it has to do with the decline of western civilization.

I was there 2 hours after you. Place was a total shitshow by then. I mean pure, unadulterated chaos man. Kids running wild, tearing down signage. Things falling apart. Everyone videoing. Just wild because I used to go to this mall EVERY SINGLE DAY after work - I worked at the On The Border right by there.

Amazon and other online retail have just made places like this a thing of the past. I'm old enough to remember when malls were a totally new "thing". Remember when this used to be Southland, a kind of unenclosed mall, precursor to Southroads across the street. Spent lots of time there as a teen in the 70's. Sad to see them fade away.

Glad you got this documented. Took a peek through one of the windows recently, just really sad.

This mall went down hill quick the last few years . Doesn’t seem like that many years ago it was pretty full tenets wise and just seem to have died so quick . The JC penny’s closed in 2020 right before Covid That whole area that mall is in used to be so much nicer than it is now. My friend sold the house in 2017. Probably 1/2 mile from there used to be such a nice place to live, and by the time he left houses and cars were getting broken into all the time. Just no longer felt safe.

when i was young my grandma used to take me here, the stores were always full, and there were people everywhere. i remember us always going to the theater then walking around. unfortunately she passed away in 2021 and seeing this empty mall brings back all the memories we had together here, i can still see my little self running up and down these halls 😢. 6-9-21 🕊️

My high school girlfriend worked at the el chico that was at the entrance when you first walked in to the right. I spent a lot of time there way back in the day lol. This was so wild

I've watched several abandoned mall or closed mall videos but for the first time I'm seeing one I've been too long before it closed. My Mom was a store manager here in like 2003 or 2004.

Technically not all of it is dead. They put the ice rink in the old Macy's

Wow! I was actually there that day! I went to pick up a dress with my daughter from the bridal store. The guy running the Nut Hut tried to sell us some nuts. I feel bad for not buying any! We also went into the store where everything was $3.99!😊

😢😢 I Used to buy all my clothes from there. I can't find clothes or shoes. 9.99 , store

When Kohan Retail Investment Group buys your mall, this is what happens. Theyre doing the bare minimum (sometimes not even that) to every property they own all over the country. They're only interested in the land, not the mall itself.

In my opinion, this mall should be demolished for a large apartment complex with apartments that have at least five bedrooms, four bathrooms, one large living room, and at least one large media room, and amenities consisting of at least one fitness center, at least one indoor skatepark, at least one indoor pool, at least one indoor waterpark, at least one indoor basketball gym, and a food court with food places such as Mooyah Burgers, Fries, & Shakes, Popeye’s, Papa John’s, Jersey Mike’s Subs, Buffalo Wild Wings, Great American Cookies, and Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream.
