I must confess, I've been deeply engrossed in listening this video on too many occasions to count... dozens I'm sure. By far my favorite video. Each time exposes me to new layers of insight I missed the time before, forcing me to go back and replay. Jorjani's unique delivery, coupled with the depth of his content and recall is extraordinary. So much so, I'm shocked if he gets even a minor detail wrong... it happens, but not too often. Jorjani's discourse, now famously provocative, serves as a valuable resource to anyone with an open mind willing to explore philosophical, political, and scientific concepts in the open. A gifted writer, storyteller and mind such as his shouldn't be shuttered in any respect. Others may agree or disagree with (m)any of his political leanings, but his depth and approach to each concept are rigorous and scholarly. Personally, I love to see any position or argument made well, even if I disagree. Thank you Lev and BTR for sharing this exceptional video and other intellectually stimulating posts. Just a thought... I would love to see Jorjani on BTR with Michael Millerman, perhaps discussing Aleander Dugin.

"Platonic Forms don't exist!" (Jorjani)...I take it you've never done psychedelics or a bit of basic meditation? They certainly do exist. And Jung was 100% right. With a bit of basic inner exploration, much if not all of what he wrote can be directly confirmed by anyone in possession of a Psyche! That's primarily why Jung's corpus is absolutely essential when it comes to properly understanding alchemy, mythology, psychology, religion, philosophy, synchronicity, tarot etc. These fundamental/archetypal stories and symbols are stored away in all of our minds, and are the key to understanding all aforementioned fields of study. They are there just waiting for us to discover them. All one has to do is just make the effort. Understanding these things isn't as nearly impossible or mysterious as Jorjani tries to make it all sound! Any philosophy that doesn't put personal, empirical Gnosis (self-knowledge) at the center of its attention is not really an authentic "philosophy" at all. To Know Thyself, is the beginning of it all.

Do not be driven only by chemicals that happen to affect our brain. What your mind shows you is only a mirror of the limited capabilities of our brain. I personally think archetypes are absolutely necessary for our society to honor moving forward. Jason seems dismissive of their importance. We must cultivate the means and opportunity to embody each of them as they are so deeply ingrained into our psyche. They are in a sense, universal even if only applied to the human race. His example of a Divine Mother being irrelevant in an asexual culture is without explanation and extraction of the deeper symbolic expression of a nurturing, intuitive giver of life.

1:15:00 _The Tightrope Walker_ is an Arrow drawn by the _Spirit of Gravity;_ the rope without terminus -- a bowstring limbed to Finitude and the Abyss. Higher Mankind must _shoot for the stars_ (or stack the _deicidal_ biomass to breach the Empyrean). We are nocked to be let loose for a great undertaking. The alternative is being slowly decompressed and fall back to earth at our clay Last Men feet to perpetuate Mouse Utopian venal indulgence for the greatest number (while usura-Brahmins skim off the top for luxury lotus eating). 1:28:40 _Beauty is awe-striking:_ it is alien, imperious, hard-fought to maintain (and to win), terrifying and terrorizing. The numinous and supernal is engrossing and all-consuming as it enters into you; it will not settle for merely being countenanced as an object, a mere _thing._ It is something one is possessed by as much as the hideously ugly is intrinsically repellent, averse. One holds one's gaze, the other one would rather forget (or persists unwelcomed like Medusa). 1:32:20 _ZEUS/APOLLO/PAN LYKAIOS:_ Archaic wolf cult of Mount Lykaion brought by Evander to what becomes Rome and _Lupercalia_ (Febuary 15) involving fire offerings and cannibalistic rites worshipping a lycan-lightbringer Zeus et. al. appearing out of lightning, and punishing/banishing the deceitful & the night. _Is Lupa Diana/Artemis?_ A long revenge for Troy & Persia -- and Zeus' scorned first wife, _Metis._ 1:34:40 _A Dialectical Reversal of 'Christ'-ianity:_ As FN says, "beyond good & evil, not beyond good and bad." Zarathustra as a guise allows for proper _damnation_ and execration of the contemptible, low, and ill bred, out from the hands of noumenal Procrustes inflicting the lie of qualitative uniformity & value, soul atomism.

The ideal being a mix of creativity, philosophy, and statesmanship is and interesting trinity placing the eternal fire of eros' creativity at the top, with the philosophical and political as counterbalancing and anchoring forces for the civilization.... seems Heraclitan....

Jason Jorjani is a gift of history to our broken modern society. So much respect to this man. He is the superman in Nietzschean sense.

He has a visible superhuman potential, not unleashed yet, his big belly shows he needs to mirror his sharp mind with his soft body, sixpack cut like a diamond is not his middle name - a superhuman has the perfect balance between mind and body. Jason needs to work on his body to become SUPERHUMAN.

Thank you for your scholarship and your ability to recite the key details of the story you’re telling. This conversation has revealed many and validated some of my own understandings of the true nature of the REALITY we share. Fascinating. I think Jason, as much as I love him, misses part of the picture. He’s all for the Dionysian but is against the devas - isn’t Mahadeva himself Dionysus - not to mention there could very well be a connection of Shiva etymologically with Sabazius. Two I think he fails to see that Magian Mithraism continued into a new Piscean Age form in religions like Vaishnavism that has all the signs of the Mithras cult if you look closely, and Gnosticism itself - who is Abrasax if not Mithra-Varuna? I can’t help but agree with Neil that Apollo & Dionysus are two forms of the same bi-polar god
@andreykirillov27398 ай бұрын
Could you please explain your disagreement in a more simple language? I can't really grasp it. As far as I understand, Jorjani dismisses Gnosticism entirely and is not bound to any religion, so what does Mahadeva has to do with him?
@silentsentinel18 ай бұрын
@@andreykirillov2739 What I’m getting from the OP’s comment is that, in his estimation, Jason is essentially biased towards one “camp” in this creation against the other, but that the bias is not entirely legitimate because both stem from the same primordial source (the “bipolar god”). Taking the Hindu example, we would say that the Devas and Asuras are more intimately connected than might first appear, as one side influences the other through various religious or mystical or philosophical movements over time. Concerning Gnosticism: it’s true that Gnosticism differs from Prometheism in certain key aspects, but there is likewise considerable overlap in other equally-crucial aspects. All of this suggests a much deeper interconnectedness between the concepts in question, and, according to the OP, Jason hasn’t convincingly demonstrated that his chosen side has “ontological primacy” over the side he’s arguing against.
@RyanTucker-r5d7 ай бұрын
@@silentsentinel1 bingo. I’m also pointing out that there was no Deva vs Asura beef until humans had a disagreement about which is the good vs bad side. If you read the Vedas you see many gods be called both Deva and Asura like Rudra (Shiva), Indra, Varuna etc. Jason bases this argument off assuming Indra is Zeus which I would say he’s only one mask of Zeus. Dionysus has two personalities, one Celestial and one Cthonic. This can be seen in Apollo/Dionysus, Zeus/Hades (both of whom are conflated with Dionysus in ancient times). This can be seen in Hinduism with HariHara aka Vishnu and Shiva. In Hinduism they have Adityas (Sun gods) who are all brothers but really all masks of the one Sun god who changed Masks as he travels through each Zodiacal sign. Vishnu is the Aditya of Pisces the current sign we are in which is why he’s currently exalted before the others. Mithras is also an Aditya yet Jason ignores Mithras is in fact ALSO A DEVA. He loves Prometheus yet Prometheus is conflated with Hephaestus an OLYMPIAN GOD. So he is in fact contradicting himself because he fails to see there was no Deva Asura war until humans beefed about which side was good and which wasn’t because it didn’t exist in the oldest layers of the Vedas.

@@RyanTucker-r5d You know you probably just revealed the true reason for Prometheus punishment by Zeus... The reason Jesus so strongly condemned the Pharisee's and scribes. And the reason why a True God must indeed be a deceiver.
